I want to know the big picture behind the rejections and if any judgements on banned apps are based on the reviewers religion that are somehow being transposed on perhaps an app developt by an atheist and such.

I also use a modern wifi router such as my DIR-655 extreme N

Most people complaining are those using N compatible routers but they are not truly up to the newest N standards and they have not flashed their router.

The light issue that affects Wifi is related to power saving which if anyone remember most laptops in the 1990's suffered from this REMEMBER?

Uhh my laptop just woke out of sleep mode and now the wifi is dead or missing!

I am sure the people who created same pwoer issues for the laptops are the exact same people hired who built/programmed the ipad....... They are a sorry sad bunch of folks.

Reminds me of my own network here at work.

We have many remote wans and when they are located around the world sometimes the connections lag.

Due to this lag when they poll computer names using I think a VB script against the AD computers names for last time logged on if they never logged on (PC is always kept turned on) then the pc gets disabled and denied access. Peopel hate rebooting due to slow pc and they are now prevented from doing work.

These tech need to use their brain and use the contact info in the AD properties of the pc first.

Sometimes I think our AD admin is on crack......

I can agree flash is super buggy still.

I can visit hulu using IE 8 on my new windows 7 pro pc that has all the latest updates.

so far so good but if i click the icon to make the hulu flash window bigger then it plays for a few moments then freezes while the sound still plays.

Here is what you do.

Write the app as closely as you can to be within the confines of their own laws so that your app can be shown one day on itunes or the app store.

But once the program has been tested,alpha beta etc etc then crunch that program so tight and small and put it through some obfuscation program so that the apple testers can't

see the code properly as it is YOUR PROPERTY and not theirs.

If they refuse it then have a class action lawsuit against them.

END USER ERROR - this is not a ipad issue at all.

I have been through over 7 Linksys wifi routers and upgraded to a newer linksys router each time a new one came out and I thought a new version would be free of bugs the previous ones had and each and every linksys wifi router I have ever owned

from A,B,G,N series compatible all had the following problem:

Connection problems

Resetting the wifi router at least once a day every week.

Changing the channels for better signal all the time.

putting more rubber feet on the bottom so it sits up higher for cooler air.

But I got so sick of the quality problems I am no longer a linksys fanboy.

I read and read for 2 weeks and went with a D-Link extreme N and after 3 years I only had to reset it 4 times.

So using my ipad with my d-link extreme N wifi router I have ZERO issues.

I love my new ipad!

Ok so its a glorified itouch.

But its bigger! more metal so the heat disapates faster and I had it on all night playing streaming music from shoutcast. battery was at 100% when going to bed and I wake up and the battery was then at 75%.

It was room tempurature and not stinking hot like the ihone gets when playing videos.

I am so going to love this!

Having tried the ipad overnight...

So I went to bed watching a few videos from some old tv show from the 1980's and one thing I noticed was that the ipad does not get hot at all while watching videos.

I am about the charge the unit and do not expect any heat issues like the iphone does when charged.

These studies are worthless.

By the time the studies are done for each company they would have spen over $100,000 in payments when that $100,00 could have gone towards a new switch for that very old 10 half speed switch used out in shipping instead only the VIP sectiono f the company gets the best switches for the best connectivity and leaves the rest of the company out in the cold.

No research needed.

just mark the old switch first. Install with new 10/100/1000 speed switches.

Make sure your network is all CAT6 compatible then work on your servers PD,BD and so forth.

First step to saving is cut out these middle managers and just let the geeks get it done.

Sorry to hear that our IT buget has been slashed but that also means that

the hard drive you have been needing for the past 5 years for your main use desktop system

has been denied so you will need to suck it up and use your system on your slow failing pc.

You may want to pay out of pocket for a new one yourself but I doubt you will be reimbursed.

Only CEO and VIP get new hardware. Chaps like you and me at the middle or bottom barrel will have to scrape by with DOS or Windows NT 4 for a while bit longer.

I do not see to many bugs in windows 7 but the one bug that REALLY REALLY bugs me is....

When I play any video using the windows media player the video plays fine but its a roll of the dice if the progress bar moves along to show the video progress.

Sometimes I can watch a full length DVD and the bar never appears or moves an inch and stops but the video plays normally.

WEIRD BUG INDEED! BILL GATES FIX THAT BLOODY THING!

Using standards is ok up to a point.

Let's say your entire company is nothing but white collar workers then fine.

But when your company has white collar and technicians that need hardware such

as the person above who still uses outdated serial port interfaces for what ever product they support or test for customers which requires support warranty for those parts for 12 years then no it is a very BAD idea for IT to think they can consilidate and make standards when those standards will break the support for your warranty issues for your customers.

Also the standards where the older OS must be removed from the network.

This is a rat nest of problems starting to fester.

TIP: LEAVE your R&D boys and programmers alone!

So I have my P5q Deluxe Quad core gaming machine and I did read the box the motherboard came in and it does support VM in the BIOS and I checked and made sure it was

turned on in the bios and oh reader beware I have WIndwos 7 professional 64bit with 4 gig of ram installed....

So before this update I download and install everything and it says my hardware does not support any VM...... WEIRD! BS!! IT DOES TOO!

So I got this update and it now works like a champ.

There will be videos in the future that will show you on youtube how to hardware hack your IPAD and run it off a car battery or somethign made by kipkay or whatever his name is who does all those hardware hacks that let you do more things with your stuff that sits in your house.

I am sure I'll just use my future ipad to be a permanent fixture on my nightstand to watch videos as I fall asleep.

I used to work in IT at a bank that has offices all around the world and workign at the main HQ

I had people from IT who have 3 to 5 certification from Microsoft and Linux always come up to me askign me things and I get this look on my face.....Like..

After you install the game it should then authenticate me if I am legit or not.

If the world was operated by ubisoft then I could not go to the toilet without the toilet being connected to the internet.

Flight controllers would not be able to let planes land without being connected to the internet.

You would not be able to use WIndows without it being connected to the internet.

Ok lets say I was watching a BBC streaming video to the end and if I wanted to start it over from the beginning that it would not play the cache but instead stream everything back all over again?

Not only is this foolish but also a bandwidth killer.

Watching a cached uninterrupted video is the way to go and is for the most part already done on computers.

This would only drive up costs for site owners in the long run if they do not enable true caching.

I bet I know what really happened.

Once the payment ordering and processing software was done they then fired the competent programmer then hired some new programmer to take his place who knew nothing of security from india or china.

The differnce in pay saved from hiring the new guy is then given to the manager as a pay raise.
