Pablo Escobar's big bro and former accountant sues Apple for $2.6bn over FaceTime bug

Do legal miscreants get to abuse our justice system?

It seems so, though I shake my head about the fairness of that.

Made-up murder claims, threats to kill Twitter, rants about NSA spying – anything but mention 100,000 US virus deaths, right, Mr President?

RainCaster

That is why they are called "Trumpanzees"

They are good at flinging poo, and little else.

Bloke who claimed he invented Bitcoin must hand over $5bn of e-dosh in court case. He can't. He's waiting for a time traveler to arrive

RainCaster

A time traveler can find him in prison

Let that clown stay locked up until he releases the funds. Maybe he got the date wrong, and the courier will arrive in 2220.

US soldier cleared of taking armoured vehicle out for joyride – because he's insane, court says

RainCaster

Would that defense work for the idiot who took the USA for a test drive?

The Cheetoh Tweeter has completely ruined the USA in front of the rest of the world. Can we call an insanity defense for him?

Here's a top tip: Don't trust the new person – block web domains less than a month old. They are bound to be dodgy

Where is the list server?

I get my BLs from a number of places, but I don/t know of one that follows this guideline.

US told to appoint a damn Privacy Shield ombudsperson already or EU will take action

RainCaster

Re: Data sovereignty

DFT will taunt the EU on Twitter, that is his only method of communication. Except for Faux News.

Privacy is something our government has no interest in, quite sadly. As long as the current administration is in power there will be no work done to protect anyone except the big telcos.

OM5G... Qualcomm teases next Snapdragon chip for phones: The 855 with a fingerprint Sonic Screwdriver, er, Sensor

It's all about the bass

I'm at the hotel where they are doing this big show, and all I can hear is the massive subwoofers from their presentations.

But the voices in my head all approve of 5G because it cannot penetrate my tin foil hat.

RainCaster

I'm at that hotel where the Qualcomm PR event is happening. All I know is that 5G requires a *lot* of sub-woofers. The voices in my head have all concluded that 5G will be safe because it cannot penetrate my tin foil hat.

Memo to Microsoft: Windows 10 is broken, and the fixes can't wait

RainCaster

Re: Broken, yes... and not fixable.

I remember those days, because I worked there. That was after running my own Unix driver consultancy for 9 years. They had a very high hiring bar and testers were on equal footing with the developers.

Y'know... Publishing tech specs may be fair use, says appeals court

RainCaster

How will JEDEC like that?

There are a number of high tech standards that the world needs, yet you must buy them from obscure and dodgy websites. Think IEEE, ISO, JEDEC, etc.

By gum, that's chewy: Samsung's NF1 fattens M.2 card capacity with wider gumstick format

RainCaster
Thumb Down

Beware of NF1

Samsung has designed a product that will plug into the M.2 slots on your laptop or motherboard, but they will not work. Wrong signals, extra voltages, etc. It could even smoke your laptop in some cases.
