As a kid we didn't drink Guinness (allthough it was said to be good for you), I still don't, but we had - still have - a table-beer Piedboeuf. I prefer it ten times to any coke. It tastes as sweet as the real Coca Cola, but it contains 1/150 the amount of sugar, and I kid you not. It just shows how stupid parents are, when they let the children drink that poison. Anybody complaining about rising obesity?

The brits will cause no further harm to the union. That said, the harm they caused may prove to be lethal. First in my mind is the push for expansion with countries not really union minded. But: not a single decision was made with which not all governments agreed. So we can't really blame the brits. They've outsmarted us.

Windows is much harder to install than Linux. I recently had to install W, and failed to create an installation medium, since I only had Linux systems running. Only when I found a running W, I managed to create an installation medium. FYI: I am not new to IT.

We have the 1st november as a holy day: All Saints. "halloween" is the evening before, the holy evening, imported from the (less and less) USA. Just as we imported "santa claus" for Christmas, since the cowboys couldn't keep Sint Nicolaos' feast from the 6th of december apart from Xmas. With Sint Niklaas our children get presents as he would have resuccitated three kids that were butchered. But that was a secret known only in France and the low countries.
