Can I suggest you upgrade the PC to an SSD, they are a breeze to install and can make an underspecced PC come to life.
I have a client weho is an undertaker with six off the shelf PC's all LOW spec and the addition of six forty quid SSD's I actually made an undertaker smile.
I'll get my coat.
Everything that Microsoft do for you makes your experience better.
I have been upgrading customer both business and personal from XP, Vista, Win 7 and Win 8, everyone (YES REALLY EVERYONE) prefers Win 10. I keep a very close relationship with all of my customers and no-one has been damaged by the SLURP or even had extra spam or directed ads or any bloody thing.
If just one person complained about win 10 then I would say so now but they have not period.
I do not agree with everything Microsoft do but generally they make things better not worse and its about time you moaning minnies learnt that and stopped bleating on about Win 10 and take the bloody upgrade while its still free.
My only complaint so far was because a customer had 17 PC's upgraded from Win 7 to Win 10 and his complaint was that one PC could not be upgraded due to hardware problems (he went to PC World and bought a new PC).
I have upgraded around a thousand machines all without too many problems and all my office is now Win 10. As a developer I find the platform to be very user friendly and on the odd occasion something breaks its gets fixed automatically by Windows Update.
I have only ever looked after one office that runs on Linux and it was a disaster so we upgraded all PC's to Win 10 and no more grief.

You missed the two users who have a 500Mb attachment (Excel) and keep updating it and resending to one another without removing it until the .pst file hits 10Gb and Outlook stops working ... had this toooooo many times especially from merchant bankers (not cockney rhyming slang) who always work out of Excel.
About a thousand years ago when I was 18 I had a series of jobs while waiting to join the Police Force. Back then I seemed to be able to stroll from one job to another all unskilled but at 18 who gives a fig.
So I am screwing wheels on 3' x 2' X 2'6"" document containers, four of, one in each corner really skilled job.
When the wheels were attached I had to put the lid on and push it toward another PFY who ensured the top fitted OK, removed the top and stacked the wheeled base, loading a stack on a lorry when it was 15 containers high. I could not help noticing the logo emblazoned on the lid 'UK Stationary Wharehouses'.
The next suit that went past was the company owner so I stopped him and said 'I think some fool has made a spelling mistake', yes it was him. After several people came out of the office checked the spelling and then shuffled back to the office the boss reappeared and I was sacked. These days I would have kicked up a fuss but back then Nah...
Now when my companies screw up I keep schtum!

Listen up Linux punks.
I have three PCs on my desk two Windows 10 and one Linux Mint. I am an IT professional and never play games and I do not do video processing either. Every time a new distro airs I try it 'cos I would love any distro to be useable. I have tried them all and they are not useable on any level. If you can get them installed they are all like going back twenty years and generally have an amateur feel. On the few occasions I have suggested Linux to customers they have all swapped back to Windows PDQ.
I have no axe to grind with Linux but please please stop bleating on about Linux as if it is a rival to Windows, IT AIN'T and will never be.
