Re: Web scraping remains a legally contentious issue.
Not necessarily. Robots.txt is generally obeyed if implemented properly if you don't want your site indexed and scraped. This does not have the same feel to it.

Generally, most PBX voicemail systems have an option to dial in and record a message directly in to the inbox of the extension/person you want. This reeks of something more sinister, like digital back end delivery. Otherwise, I can imagine the Telcos would be whining endlessly over the increased traffic load on their voicemail system inconveniencing them errr... I mean their customers.
Of course, mine usually gets cleaned out/listened to once a year when I hit the maximum storage size and need to clean it up so I pretend to care about the messages. If it's important, e-mail or text is the way to go...
Bad enough that scammers try to get you recorded saying Yes to anything so they can splice it in as evidence of your confirmation on anything they want. Now they could easily go to someone's youtube video/rant, run it through, and basically own you for evidence when you dispute the fact that you did order 2 tons of creamed corn...
Who thinks that Apple should give them specially crafted Gift card codes that are A) Tracked and B) shut down any account they are used on until the law enforcement agency of choice gets an investigation completed of the account owner?
Maybe over simplified (mainly because they would probably sell the cards for pennies on the dollar), but really? That is like going to a department store, holding up the store up and asking for the proceeds to be given on a company issued credit card.....
Mine's the one with the ice pack for my head.... might want to get that desk looked at too....
