WhatsApp AI happily added guns to chat stickers of Palestinians, but not Israelis

Do you spout the same rubbish when arabs kill arabs? Or do you only have an issue when Jews kill them?

You've not bvothered to research what wars are, and the international rules of them, have you?

Israel protects its people using rockets, PHamas protects its rockets using people. One is legitimate, the other isn't.

Re: Huge long food queues in Russia

No, it's stereotypical, like saying the French are arrogant, or that the British all love fish and chips and roast beef.

The poster didn't discriminate against Russians, or say anything remotely similar, at all there.

Re: Funny how

I'm not a crim, but didn't discover that I was autistic until I was 40. Yes, it can go that long until you seek answers as to why it is that you don't quite fit in to society.

Re: Austism Defense

Actually it's a complete misconception pushed by Ali G's cousin that Autistics don't have empathy. Other studies have suggested that as we're hypersensitive we're more likely to be an Empath than neurotypicals; it's just that we find it hard to deal with the overwhelming feelings of others.

I'm a Samaritan listening volunteer, and that's not something you could do without the ebility to empathise.

Why machine-learning chatbots find it difficult to respond to idioms, metaphors, rhetorical questions, sarcasm

Is AI Autistic Then?

So we're saying that AI is on "the spectrum" then, not being able to understand idioms?

An oft cited example in books about autism is that kids will expect to see cats and dogs falling from the sky when it's persisting down. as a life long Aspie, I can say that I've never expected to witness that.

Contact-tracer spoofing is already happening – and it's dangerously simple to do

Flame

1) my phone blocks numbers not in my contact list

2) the gsm standard does not guarantee SMS delivery. If I get one of these messages, legit or not, I'll not be putting my life on hold.

Flame away.

How quaint, having to do something physical. I just speak to Android Auto and it will play a selection of tunes from a bank of about 30 million cloud based tracks.

Re: Didn't know that - which one?

Really? My partner is French. She's lived and worked here for 28 years. She's paid tax for 28 years. Does that not give her a right in your eyes when she's contributed more to the country than your average dole scrounger?

My first job out of university was with a large international German electronics manufacturer with a rude sounding name; they'd sponsored me through uni.

I was tasked with generating multiple EDIFACT messages from the SQL database using VB, one of which was the INVOIC file. One of the fields in the message, I can't remember which, indicated by use of a single character whether the message was an invoice or a credit. I got it the wrong way around and accidentally sent out around DM 10 million of credit that should have been invoices.

Fortunately we only invoiced our regional offices around the world, not the end customer, and the mistake was quickly spotted.

We called Sky 2 weeks ago and cancelled. Just got 2 weeks left to watch stuff on the HDD that we've not seen yet. The PVR feature is the only thing that we'll really miss, as I think that Sky do that quite well, but I guess with streaming you don't really need that functionality.

Re: Yarrgh

The producer said on Radio 4's Today program last week that it was being released weekly because it's not like a drama, in that you will want to binge watch, as there is no story to be continued. It's just 3 blokes cocking about in different cars/locations each week.

As far as I remember he said it was the production team who wanted it to be weekly, not Amazon.
