The pencil story is easy enough to figure out with critical thinking - flying debris is extremely dangerous in space, especially when it's conductive.

Other than running them elsewhere, vote with your money. Stop buying games until they release them for Linux. I absolutely will not buy any game that requires Windows 10. I don't care how good people insist the game might be, no game is worth installing Windows 10.

Nope, try talking to a rural ISP. There's money to be made. The reason you don't see more small ISPs around cities is that cable companies are allowed to throw thousands of frivolous lawsuits at them (which unless the representative from the small ISP shows up in court, it's a default ruling against).

You can sue all you like, the contracts have a clause that allows them to change the contract at any time. You'll end up wasting money and very likely be targeted for your stupidity.

The repetitive parts of IT are the entry level jobs. Without those jobs you end up with a catch-22. (Need experience to get the job but need the job to get experience)

On top of that, many of the jobs being outsourced are developer positions. Development jobs would traditionally be the top end of the technical side of IT, something you had worked your way into. By that point you knew how everything worked on a lower level and were better equipped to build on it. Sure there are tedious tasks such as code maintenance but ideally you would build tools to automate much of it.

The current minimum pay for H1-B is $65,000. That's below the average pay for a citizen counterpart in IT. You're right on the hours though, they get paid less and work twice the hours effectively more than halving their hourly. (For anyone curious that comes out to $15.62/hr)

Assuming 8b/10b encoding

(32gbit/8)*(8/10)=3.2GB/s or 3,200MB/s

If it's using 64b/66b the speed comes to approx 3.88GB/s.
