9 Gigs Of #Macron Campaign Emails Are Confirmed To Be Authentic.

Baldy50

Well...

Wikileaks is currently authenticating Macron Emails, if he does what he says and gets rid of all the border patrols we need to think about blocking that chunnel up!

And alike, graduates, students etc giving their work for free to the college and then these toads making hundreds of millions out of it charging students and anyone else to view past papers.

I think Aaron Swartz would be pleased that in a way someone has sort of carried on with the battle against these companies that produce nothing and make a ton of money off other people's backs.

A good documentary BTW, 'The Internets own boy Aaron Swartz'.

We're spying on you for your own protection, says NSA, FBI

Baldy50

Could...

If they're monitoring the backbone!

If everyone was running a Tor relay or bridge would they have any idea where traffic was originating from, every exchange and every line would have to be tapped?

Same goes for encryption, they'd be flummoxed, if we all used it that is! You've seen the length of some folks public keys, yes?

If we weren't so lazy and more was taught in schools on how to protect ourselves in this fast-paced digital age this wouldn't be such a huge problem, for personal stuff at least.

I'm sure the silk road and the crims etc are already on it.

What was that movement a couple of years ago setting up teaching on how to encrypt, using Truecrypt I think?

Uber: Please don't give our London drivers English tests. You can work out the reason why

Baldy50

Funny story....

A lady friend of my mothers had driven on her own all the way to Teulada (Spain) and was not too good health wise and wanted her car back home obviously after her stay, so I drove her home to London, she just couldn't face it, stressed as chuff!

Got her home safe, no map or sat nav required either, west Londons a busy place.

Her nephew was a black cabby driver and drove me to Bolton the next day for free! To see family and get a flight back, treated him to a chippy meal, couldn't believe how cheap it was and he got gravy!

The funny thing is the neighbors noticing it was a London registered cab and the odd driver too on the way, so I felt like an MP for a while.

As to the English tests, IDK, it would help generally as to integration and work etc but I've never had a problem in the northwest and every foreign cab driver I've have used has been polite and spoken clearly enough to be understood, in the area I live in.

The thing is, how much is the test going to cost? You have to do a course to be a bouncer, security guard, commercial driver, work at a hospital etc doing shit you've been doing all your working life and been trained for in the first place!

These costs and licenses are a hidden tax on a lot of poorly paid workers on minimum wage, at the interview stage it should be apparent to the interviewer and the person told to improve his language skills before employment.

I just think It's all got a bit silly when you did your apprenticeship you learned as much or more from your older colleagues and workmates as you did at college IMO, 33 years claim free and I have to do a CPC test to drive, I have to pay for it too. Sucks!

With the monitoring tech etc they have in the cabs today IDK why this happened, shouldn't have, the taxi co I did some malware removal for had frequent contact with the drivers and knew where they were, even end of shift and mandatory break times etc!

Never fall asleep in a cab or on public transport, waking up where you got on is a real p***er, only going from Rüsselsheim to Wiesbaden and went a long, long way off, they let me off for the return fair, though, which was nice of them.

I could go on forever, but no.

Re: Two options

This subject has come up before and when they leak the code it's a shit storm for us all which they will cos somebody will leave a laptop or other device on a train or somewhere or it gets nicked and possibly they will get hacked because the reward for doing so would be so tempting and lucrative so every black hat and unscrupulous gov will be after it.

If they do this then it's Whonix or Tails on a separate machine and an air-gapped machine for personal stuff, nothing stored on the online machine, working offline on another machine would be the only way to be safe and could have a big impact on retail sales online if people lose trust in the security of the systems they use.

Once the OS and all the software programs you need are installed and working who needs security updates?

If it's air gapped till the next re-install, maybe years later and no Wi-Fi card in it too.

I mean, not that I'm going to, but if I ordered a 12" black ribbed nobler I'd want it kept a secret (Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels) reference, good film.

These guys are supposed to be very good but like all the other stories I've read over the years, nobody gives a shit about your info or data than you and sometimes we can't be trusted either.

I think I have all my immediate families CV's, photos and stuff backed up on my main machine, there's no way I'm leaving a machine online with all that info on it, put that shit in a caddy and only plug it when needed.

Re: Won't come to anything

Before I start, sorry, just can't help myself sometimes.

http://www.timesofisrael.com/homeland-security-report-disputes-threats-from-trumps-banned-nations/

I can agree to scrutinize someone if they've gone to a country known for training people to do acts of terrorism to a degree and strong ties to terrorist organizations but if they are home grown by whatever organization how can you stop that?

They might just be there to visit family or attend a loved one's funeral, doesn't seem fair to penalize them cos they have family abroad.

By checking FB and social media accounts for radical comments etc, IDK, might catch some I suppose, there will always be people disgruntled with the system and maybe a little crazy but if we don't solve some of the problems in our society instead of a few nutters we are promoting this shit to a level that's becoming a nightmare for us.

There are militia movements in the US too and lots of gun clubs, I think home grown radicalism (Whatever faith) is going to be the big problem for any country, this IMO presents the biggest threat cos they may be clever enough or trained to stay off the radar.

Find the bases used for training and identify those attendees training there needs to be a priority on all possible risks to honest working folks.

I was parked next to one the four bins the IRA had planted bombs in one day before in Warrington (The one outside the bookies, not MacDonalds BTW, full of kids, a Saturday) and my niece was in the play center that got targeted two days before whilst shopping in the Arndale center, Manchester, so missed that one thank whatever God you pray to, Messed up the gas holders though they failed to go off and two of the devices on Bridge street, luckily the one outside MD's.

Mentioned that before, but sick of this shit, life's hard enough without it.

I think religion has become the enemy sometimes and yet inspires so much good in others, eye in the sky is a good movie to watch, load of bollocks mind you, if you've ever seen 'That seriously gone wrong drone strike footage'!

Baldy50

Working at....

A hospital a little while back, having spent plenty of time dragging data cables and clipping them to steel I-beams above the staff below, I'm as careful as chuff and only fallen once, from a two-stage scaffold, cos I forgot to level the wheels, the floor in this part wasn't good anymore.

Did a cracking SAS roll as I hit the ground, not a scratch, bump or mark anywhere!

So now getting back to the point, go up one step on a step ladder and you have to put a hard hat on, winds me up to the Nth degree.

Working in a department store in north Manchester a long time ago me and the lads found a room full of old clothes and wigs on dummies in a dusty store room upstairs.

So every now and then the staff would look up, cos we'd caught there eye crawling around above and we'd have dresses on plus wigs, old suits on with Elvis-ish wigs on and shit like that, staff and customers crying laughing at us while we toiled away, so funny, couldn't get away with it now though.

I can understand the health and safety argument to a degree, cos some of the jokes I've seen played on fellow workers were very dangerous!
