Valuable personal info leaks from Facebook – not Zuck selling it, unencrypted hard drives of staff data stolen

Aynon Yuser

I'm sure the data will be sold on the dark web to China, North Korea and Russia. They'll make good use of it all and find a way to profit in the millions or billions.

I agree with one commenter. They were probably targeted.

YouTube mystery ban on hacking videos has content creators puzzled

Aynon Yuser

Isn't that the new troll trend? If you don't like someone or want to take out the competition, hire Russian troll farm bots to automatically send a large torrents of complaints which would trigger automatic bans done by AI?

I believe that AI scripts run by media corporations are given free reign to do what they please mass banning innocent users for something like bird song and wind noise. Trying to unban yourself requires the attention of the corporation that initiated the AI ban, and if they don't look into it, which they never do, they user has no recourse.

Of course the process to correct an innocent ban is worthless, unless you know someone directly at YouTube, or if you're rich/famous.

I think this is done on Facebook. I know that mass complaints about a person gets them automatically banned by AI.

The system is broken.

Chrome ad-blocker crackdown preview due late July. Here's a half-dozen reasons why add-on devs are still upset

Aynon Yuser

Having surfed the web through so many iterations of browsing software on my PC's, Chrome used to be my darling. I extolled the virtues to so many others often.

Now I've ditched it and went back to Firefox. I can use whatever plugins I want, and not have Google play the constant cat and mouse with what I want to do whether it be blocking ad videos with sound, etc.

I'm done with Chrome. Good bye.

With Chrome on my Android phone and the blaring videos and loud ads that play before them videos, something is seriously wrong with this. While I'm taking a break at work and then surfing CNN and then have ads suddenly blast out of my phone? Fucking rude as hell. All so CNN can generate their ad revenue, and there's no way to stop it.

Fuck you Google.

It's probably someone working in their tech department who is taking bribes under the table by "bad actors" in foreign business and government to "accidentally" leave this stuff laying around in the open, they grab the information, and then Facebook says "oh hi Facebook investors...this was a mistake. We'd never put our user's privacy in jeopardy...never ever ever. But here it is if you give us so and so amount of $$$$'s"

London Gatwick Airport reopens but drone chaos perps still not found

Aynon Yuser

It wasn't too long ago that I was saying that drones would be used by troublemakers. Military use them for warfare and they expect terrorists to not use them too?

Another prediction. It won't be long before they can carry a small explosive payload such as thermite/thermate that can get sucked into the engine of a plane.

Having rules and regulations might...*MIGHT* scare a child from flying their 7-11 store drones near airports, but it won't scare them all. Did people stop pointing laser pointers at helicopters and planes when they were threatened with laws? Do you think terrorists are going to be scared of laws? Have they ever been?

Mark Zuckerberg did everything in his power to avoid Facebook becoming the next MySpace – but forgot one crucial detail…

Aynon Yuser

Irony and lies

First the irony...The Reg' has Faecebook "Like/Share" bottons here. Aren't they used to track people with or without Faecebook accounts, and so they now track Reg users too? How much does The Reg get paid to have those links here?

Delete your account and apps all you want. They still have your data, and they can still track you and sell your information. Heck they even track those without Faecebook accounts because every moron who signed in with their apps gave permission to their contacts information...names...phone numbers...home addresses... email addresses...birthdays and whatever other information you have stored into your contact info. So those who have never signed up for Faecebook, their information too has been taken and sold...including the information of children and your 90 year old great grandmother. That information is being sold too without their permission because you gave permission for them.

What does Faecebook say about the "ghost profile" information that they mentioned before? It doesn't exist. Another lie.

Lies lies and more lies. But then you signed up for it. But then too those who never signed up for it agreed to have their information sold. Once they get their information, it can never be removed, and they'll lie about having it.

Automation won’t take your job until the next recession threatens it

Aynon Yuser

Automation does take away jobs and does put more profits into the pockets of the corporations. The government also loses money because of the income tax collection loss from the human worker. The loss of income for a human affects the entire chain of support offered to their families, therefore affecting the entire local economy as a whole.

I've read somewhere (I'm too lazy to find the source) that the government was looking into charging an extra tax to each machine to offset the income tax loss that a human worker would have paid. I'd like to see that money go towards schools, hospitals, drug addiction clinics, fitness and health recreation facilities, etc lowering or elimninating their costs. An entire community should benefit from automation, and not just to completely line the pockets of the wealthiest corporations.

The corporations are sneaky. I'm sure they'll lobby hard to ensure that they get everything and the people get nothing.

Facebook confesses: Buckle up, there's plenty more privacy lapses where that came from

Aynon Yuser

Flies are attracted to the words coming out of Suckerburgs mouth.

Facebook previews GDPR privacy tools and, yep, it's the same old BS

Aynon Yuser

Mark is obviously greedy on OCD levels. He got his first taste of collecting people's information when he started with TheFaeceBook back from his college days. He must have gotten a high from his endeavors, in which he called the people who gave him their information "stupid fucks". Stupid fucks indeed even to this very day. He's come a long way from the "stupid fucks" from a few thousand people to now collecting information from billion of "stupid fucks". He must be "high" all the time now to addict levels, and to the level where if it stopped he'd go through withdrawal he'd die. It's also made him very rich.

For someone who has no respect for people's privacy, even non Faecebook users tracking them without their knowledge or permission and profiting off of them, he has security that guards his garbage and bought the houses around his own so as to protect *his* privacy.

He's very smug right now, but eventually it'll all come crashing down all around him. I'm looking forward to that day when the stupid fucks eventually turn the tables and the he's the biggest stupidest fuck of all.

Facebook admits it does track non-users, for their own good

Aynon Yuser

Oh f*ck that's right.

The Faecebook and messenger app does slurp up all your phone contact information (name, phone number, email address, and all other information such as contact picture, birthdays, etc) each time you install it. Then Faecebook knows who everyone is whether or not they are on Faecebook, and stores it, all this without your contacts permission. The apps also takes all of your SMS messages, without your contacts permission.

VERY interesting. So they know my name, phone number, email address and SMS messages that my friends have stored even though I am not on Faecebook, and Faecebook took my information without my consent. As adamant as I am about refusing to give any of my information to Faecebook and believing that I am safe from Mark Zuckerberg, they have my information anyways. I never entered into any agreement with Faecebook to take and store my information.

Sounds like a violation of privacy laws. Also sounds like there could be potential for a massive class action lawsuits that can wipe out billions of their corporate worth.

Whose in for a class action lawsuit?

Fermi famously asked: 'Where is everybody?' Probably dead, says renewed Drake equation

Aynon Yuser

Ahh yes. Fermi paradox.

Firslty, why would beings who are thousands, millions or billions of years more advanced in science and technology be interested in contacting us? Just look at how we monkey around with extinction level warfare, are xenophobic, live in the world controlled by the sociopathic likes of Putin, Trump and their buddies, and a race that is bent on subverting all scientific benefits towards destructive means? To an advanced civilization we are so primitive that we would only appear as bacteria infesting this planet serving no real benefit to wanting to hang out with us. Would you want to hang out with and make friends with bacteria and show them the benefits of science?

How would they even know we are here in the first place? Perhaps they have the ability to study us from billions of light years away in real time free of the limitations of lag due to the speed of light. I doubt it would be to their benefit to contact us once they see we are mere bacteria life forms. They've no doubt come across countless other forms of life similar to ours. We are not interesting. That's like if I found and anthill and handed them science and trinkets so they could evolve. It would be a complete waste of time and they'd never realize that I even exist.

Tracking their communication. Even if we were able to pick up (very badly degraded) signals that have travelled for thousands, millions or billions of years, what frequency would we listen in on? For how long? What mode of signals does their data use? Being that we are mere bateria-like life forms compared to their level of evolution, we probably won't even recognize their technology. The lag of light speed would mean they've probably already gone extinct or changed their ways of communication, etc. Look at how we encrypt our signals now and we may never be able to "hack" their advanced encryption. To us it would always appear as background universe noise. We've only broadcasted analog unencrypted signals for a short period in their time scale, and they'd have to be listening at that precise time in order to hear us and our badly degraded signals with vasts amounts of background universe noise thrown in. Are they going to know the difference between a tv show, news, two way radio and even airplane communication? If they just happen to receive our signals thousands, millions and billion of years will have passed and we'd long be extinct due to our small mindedness, self-entitlement and stupidity.

There's also the plane of their existence. What quantum state do they live in? Are they in the same plane that we exist? Is their existence in time compressed or expanded? Do they live in a static state of the universe? Do they live in another dimension? Do they live in a black hole? Do they live between universes? Do they live in a different state of physics that we can never see or understand? Are they physical like us? Transmaterial? Plasma? Gas? Other?

Right?

No one has yet mentioned that any species that evolves to the ability to develop science and technology are designed BY nature to naturally self-destruct. It's a design by nature to ensure that no single species is capable of destroying the universe itself. The ability to manipulate time and the very fabric of the universe itself would lead to it's destruction. Imagine if ISIS or Putin or Kim Jung Un or Trump were all able to do that...the universe would end. In terms that our puny little minds can not comprehend is that our universe is a living and intelligent being, and it will ensure that it itself can never be destroyed. Thats the universe protecting itself. That's why the Fermi paradox exists and can not be tampered with.

Oh I love this topic. It's now time to finish my coffee.

Sorry for profanity but I'm angry

I call complete bullshit.

The fucker was probably bragging to his friends that he had the capacity to scare the entire state. He probably laughed and his friends probably laughed, and they "dared" him.

I would imagine impressing a girl/girls was part of this scenario.

They all probably had one very big hearty laugh after seeing how frightened everyone was. Then they quickly learned how serious the scare was and the one who clicked "send" put on his "I'm sorry I didn't mean to do it...honest... it'll never happen again" face.

Yes what a big impressive joke. In the meantime the warmongering dictator, delusional, paranoid, hillucinating, lying, bigoted and small dicked Donald Stump would be more than happy to start firing off nukes in all directions to prove to the world how big his dick is.

Yep. It's a great joke. To the false alert sender, you're a little fucking bitch and I hope the big fucking laugh you got out of it was worth it.

These "new" and "incredible" "advances" that are designed to make our world a better place, more comfortable, and oh it's going to be oh so cheap. Most of all of these wonderful advances never amount to anything in the real world. What about that kid who designed and energy efficient solar solution to convert sea water into drinkable water that would save the poorer countries? As one example. It never happened. What about the cure for hepatitis c? Only for the rich even in Canada/USA. Corporations and even our governments completely understand that it's more profitable to keep the poor people sick.

All of these wonderful discoveries are never in the interest to help humanity as a whole. These things are always held back otherwise the billionaire corporations would end up losing billions.

It's all about profit, and nothing more.

Facebook confesses: Facebook is bad for you

Aynon Yuser

Oh and the sky is blue...

I was one of the first users in whatever it was called when I was in university. I heard about it, signed up with my college email address just to see what the big fuss was about. Back when they said there would never be any ads on it.

I stuck with it for years as it became more and more public. All of my friends and family were on it. Ads were everywhere. Information was being harvested, analyzed and sold to marketers.

Faecebook started to make me feel extremely uncomfortable. I started to feel anxious about logging on. All of the things I was going to read about. People's wonderful or miserable lives, who was breaking up and who was "engaged", who was feeling suicidal, whose died, etc.

It started making me feel sicker over time. I also started to realize that I helped make Mark Zuckerberg one of the richest men on Earth, and he cared nothing about helping the citizens of our planet. I also started to notice that the web site was becoming addictive and it was becoming more and more important to my friends and family who were no longer interested in relating with one another in real life. I also saw that Mark was using me and everyone else in his psychological and mental experiments. We were rats to him and nothing more.

Oddly enough I met my partner on Faecebook, and we got married. I finally killed my account. I discovered that my spouse was a Faecebook addict. Nothing mattered more to him than his thousands of friends that he never met and yet he loved them more than me. It was his life, and the real human that he married would always be secondary. We fought and he would never give up his Faecebook friends and that I was apparently trying to control him. The constant "dings" and vibrations and the screen notifications lighting up the room at night...it all finally ended our marriage. Faecebook won. Their formula for creating an addict was successful. Congratulations Mark. You can keep my ex-husband.

I've spent lots of time in the real world enjoying interacting with humans, who they too don't care for Faecebook. I haven't missed Faecebook. My son quit Faecebook too and his life has evolved in a much more positive direction.

I was no longer on Faecebook, and yet it had affected by life. It destroyed my marriage and took away the man that I loved. However, I'm happier now. If I marry again, they won't have a Faecebook account.

You won Mark. Go fuck yourself.

Donald Trump's tweets: Are they presidential statements or not?

Aynon Yuser

Twitter is making a fortune off of his ramblings and brings the name of their product free publicity 24/7 all around the world.

Of course they're also tracking his location, mining, logging and selling all of his data to their highest bidders. I'm quite sure it would be easy for Russia/North Korea/whatever country to covertly hack or plant a spy at Twitter HQ and track the morons precise location. It wouldn't take much for NK to bomb him.

Fuckin' moron.

US government seizes Texas gun mass murder to demand backdoors

Easy to crack (for any governments engineers)

Remove all memory modules and security linked chips, image all contents into a fake clone machine that emulates the desired cell phone, custom design software that can soft reset the reset security safeties back to zero after so many failed tries, connect to a computer that will hammer all possible key code combinations. Repeat this over and over. The original phone memory and hardware will be left intact. The faster the computers the better.

This should work with all cell phone OS's. Now get to work.
