Airbus flies new plane for the first time

Wake me up when Concorde returns.

Ah Yes,

Remember as a kid playing outside on the northern edge of Swindon.

Fairford was a good few miles away but we could hear the roar of the afterburners when it took off and before we could actually get a glimpse of it if it ever headed our way.

Stay out of my server room!

The power switch is ALWAYS at the back of the computer

I remember there were TV programs aimed at newbie PC users.

This was in the days that I was repairing (to component level) Commode PETs (because I once did an Intel 8080 assembler SDK course).

The TV explained that the power switches were on the back so that the computer could not be powered off accidentally.

Late 1980's IIRC.

I never use my phone for money transactions.

My passwords for banking are on home PC and that's where they stay.

Freeze on refrigerants heats up search for replacements

Liquid CO2?

I learnt at school that CO2 went from frozen solid to gas with no liquid stage.

So will future Coolers/Freezers manage a solid refrigerant instead of liquid?

But a lot may have changed since the 1960's

which we combined to produce BoLLex.

I think we can rest assured that if you take us up on our BoLLex suggestion, then you will see this reflected in your sales figures.

That name or very similar was used by a home movie camera company from Germany (?).

Back in the days or Super8 films. (or the 70s as we knew them.)

Forgive me, father, for I have used an ad-blocker on news websites...

Pangasinan

The problem with using an AD Blocker

is that I never see the products that are being advertised, so I don't know which products to boycott.

So maybe I should open my browser to discover the offenders.

Living in the Philippines, any ads I might see would not be relevant anyway

But what do I do with this frequency spectrum?

Reportedly San Miguel has 90 per cent of the allocated 700MHz band which was to be used with the Telstra hookup.

The other big two, Globe and Smart are moaning that they want some more of this band to increase the range of their cells.

Polite Request?

"

As you can tell when you visit some websites, they know if you're using an ad-blocker. This is usually accompanied by a polite request to stop using it. So, a website owner could, if they wanted to, easily block content from anyone using a blocker. They don't though, hmmmm."

No polite request from Classic FM, I use Ghostery and can't stream from them on PC.

However, my internet radio has no problem.

That's US dollars and British crisps.

Confused as to WTF is happening with Apple, the FBI and a killer's iPhone? Let's fix that

Pangasinan
Facepalm

Exactly, If Apple help the FBI,

If no usable data is found, nothing follows, then nobody is any wiser.

If any arrests are made, then the FBI could tag on a disclaimer that 'We've had this suspect under surveillance for months'.

Apple would not lose its trust with customers and the FBI would be happy

Pangasinan

On the QT . . . .

Apple stick to the defiant stance in public, but quietly allow FBI to do their dirty deeds.

If there is no data to exploit, then nobody is any wiser.

If arrests are made as a result of this, then the FBI can issue the usual bland statement that 'We have had this person under observation for some time'.
