Reminds me of the time Microsoft thought it would be a good idea to create "all sorts of possible ways" to allow (obliviously responsible and well-intentioned) companies to control remotely control people's computers via the browser.

Ordinarily, yes, but it's not, as is commonly insinuated, definitional. Sure investors and their advisors might not do better than chance but find one who'll admit that their decision aren't based on an understanding of market value. It's just that usually, their judgments are the only ones that happen to matter. In this case though, the court gets to decide. And whatever you might think of lawyers, in this case I'll side with them.

Hopefully, yes.

Historically in the UK, truth was a defence, but since the burden of proof was with the defendent it's a big strong to call it an absolute defence. I believe things have changed with the recent reform, though.

In most locations video makes no sense as you're targeting people on the move and in fact it may be dangerously distracting. Anything that makes video signage relatively less attractive is a good thing in my book.

The DH88 Comet racer was also a pretty good-looking aircraft. In fact pretty much all the de Havilland's of the inter-war years had a definite elegance about them. I'd nominate the DH88 Drafon Rapide as the best looking airliner of all time.

For a while now I've been saying that Trump is like a dog chasing a car. But dogs don't usually catch cars. Thing could get messy.

On the other hand what's the point in taking the same photo that literally millions of others have taken before you. Unless you're a professional photographer, you're taking pictures to make a record of the (hopefully) happy moments of your life. Maybe that's narcissistic but it's also very human and as far as I can see harmless.
