Dells issue is that their storage is cheap, but OLD.
SCxxxx = Compellent with a new bezel
UNITY = VNXe with a new bezel
Equalogic = Still available, but effectively dead
They are riding the coat-tails of Nutanix and vSAN to win in the HCI space (not a bad strategy, to be fair) but historically they have unintentionally killed off any software they have purchased
From using the Pebble 2 since the Kickstarter days, I was gutted when I heard about the FitBit purchase.
However, the Ionic is a step in the right direction, and you can see where the Pebble dev team have had their influence. I think with a few software updates, we will be back in Pebble-ish territory.
Unless you have a raging boner for a particular bezel or support contract, the compute hardware is largely invisible.
Nutanix knew this, hence why are openly becoming a software company (rather than reselling SuperMicro) . VMware are in the same boat with vSAN, with Readynodes largely outstripping the black-box variants out there.
Given that the rest of the options out there are also-rans (again, unless you have a raging Vendor allegiance or a Sales guy who regularly takes you on trips), it becomes two questions.
1. Do I buy Nutanix or vSAN?
2. Is HCI bloody right for me in the first place?

It amazes me the number of people who want places to stay open, but dont actually use them on a regular basis. Dont get me wrong, a wander around Maplins a few days ago was a "Tat-Fest" but they have sections on satellite installations, Home Wi-Fi, Computing Kits (Ardinio, Pi etc) that felt like add-ons rather than stuff they could be focusing on to fill a niche.
Tintri is a classic example of "not doing enough when you have the lead" - Which is a shame since I like the product.... They were doing VM reporting before some others were even vSphere aware.
As for a buyer? Nimble went around the houses before being bought by HPE. The only place I could really see them going to is Lenovo (where they would die a slow, horrible death).
Dell? - EMC thank you
NetApp? - Solidfire
HPE? - Nimble / InfoSight
HDS / Huawei? - They Prefer to develop in-house.
Cisco? - They have been burnt before (Whiptail) and personally I think NetApp would be a better option for them...
In a Bar, after your initial few drinks the Bartender will always try to move you to "shots" rather than Wine / Beer because:

- They are a "cooler" drink

The Nexus line was the purest Android experience you could get. No naff overlay, regular updates and a phone at a reasonable price. Profit margins were tight and as a result it suffered in other areas (little marketing, less support etc) but the concept was a good one.
Very little third party support as well (Otterbox refused to build a case for it, for example).

This looks like multiple MA's pointing at a shared clustered Repository (probably running a local index cache per node, or shared between nodes) with dedupe enabled.
Happy to be proved wrong, as the explanation against them "being complex" is simply them listing CV's feature set.

1. It's not FUD, I watched it happen this year. Also, I did not specify a timeline - I was referring to a series of events (of which you have picked on one). I could have also mentioned their marketing dept re-tweeting install photos from 2016, but I didnt think I needed to go that far.

So you are sitting pretty with a majority portion of the HCI segment...
Then:
1. You lose some high profile staff members
2. Simplivity eat away at the low end business (2-3 nodes - You can argue that is isnt their market but all deals are important End of Quarter)
3. VMware are pushing vSAN *HARD* now.... The release of 6.5 onwards made it a viable choice, and it is easier to discount software licensing than a Nutanix chassis.
Only way was down, really.... Even it they rally, its a "Lets get bought by Dell" situation.
The only viable phone OS options out there now (unless you have xBILLION for a whole new App store, ongoing dev and PR campaign) are Android or iOS
Seeing as the latter isnt sharing anytime soon and you are free to customise the living bollocks out of the former, the choice is obvious. They tried cooking up there own, and look at how that ended up (Cries of "it isnt well supported"..... "Where are all the Apps?"...... "Why doesnt it update like Android / Apple?") etc.
For BlackBerry to keep going (and pay employees) they made the most logical choice, and spotted a gap in the market for a phone with a keyboard. If you want blackberry to thrive, support them.
If not, go back to your iPhone.

Being a Colwyn Bay local, I can answer that one (Disclaimer, I used to work for Traffic Wales - Think Highways Agency for the Welsh).
The 50mph zone on the A55 through Colwyn Bay sits between to 70 zones. The only reason it exists is because the slip-roads are "too short" in theory and therefore you couldn't possibly accelerate / brake in time if the roads were 70mph. Of course, this is not true of vehicles of this century so is mute.
There has been talk of fitting average speed cameras, but the revenue was not deemed sufficient (in a rare case of defending cameras, they are not ALWAYS fitted by the traffic agencies or police on major roads - Sometimes they are fitted to slow down traffic during an extending period of roadworks, say during the North Wales tunnel upgrades.)
So unless plod sticks a car with a camera on the Rainbow bridge (or hides up the sliproad of Colwyn Bay), cars just carry through at 60mph...
Lenovo.
They sell hardware no matter what route you take (and with the aggressive pricing that the distributors are kicking out, they will win some too).
All they need is a decent SAN, rather than decade-old rebadged IBM kit (Although the new Lenovo made S-series are decent cheap MSA alternatives, if a little basic)
