HAHAHA WAY more the 70

They are trying to hack every school in the USA. I have users getting locked out all of the time because of these attacks. Most from China. I would imagine every utility, company, government entity from local to federal are being attacked everyday. I wouldn't be surprised if 40% of internet traffic was from CCP hacking groups trying to compromise every system possible in the USA and allies in preparation for war. Make no mistake many CCP officials have stated clearly that they will do anything they deem necessary to conquer the country of Taiwan. Sure Russia is working as well but they probably account for 20% of all internet traffic.

New interface is garbage. I have had a few of my users test drive the new interface and it was met with universal dislike to put it lightly. From the favorites scrolling up off screen to popups not showing up, settings being scattered and hidden away or removed or functions like PDFs being no longer viewable from in outlook and such just isn't what they want. I have to say that I'm not a fan of the new interface at all it seems more like they are trying to dumb it down to be like "Baby's first email client by Playskool"

I would sooner belive that the sun rises in the west vs any claims by the CCP.

They operate outside the law already

The FBI already operates outside of the law. They just have a more difficult time with evidence during a trial if it was collected illegally.

He sold his shares before hand and most probably then turns around and shorted the stock through some proxy. He is just that vile. Just look at his history. The SEC should climb up his *** and go as far back as possible and hammer him with max penalties. Then the shareholders should sue him for willfully doing egregious harm to the company and permanently tarnishing the name of the company.

The stockholders should fire and sue the CEO for willfully doing egregious harm to the value of the company and have the SEC come in to Roto-Rooter his ass for insider trading as he sold stock just before the announcement.

USA mad that the CCP spy stuff prevented the 5 eyes spy stuff

It was blocked because the CCP spyware blocked the 5 eyes spyware. Simple as that. OOOOOOoooo we can't let the CCP be the only ones spying on everyone thus the sanctions. The 5 eyes has to get in there too. I'm sure that if it allowed the 5 eyes spyware in it that they wouldn't have been banned.

Big steaming pile

Aside from the interface (terrible mess that it is) and the removal of convent access to menus that worked very well in 10 no longer present in 11 we have all of the technical things that seem to break. However, the single most egregious thing to break is the networking. Even just one in a hundred is simply too big of a deal for an institution or business with hundreds or thousands of users. Let along the Bitlocker issues. Payroll having networking problems while running payroll would be a very bad thing. So far from the testing here, it seems that it is more likely that we will skip it and just call 11 dead and pray 12 will be better.

"slightly creepy vision of surveillance capitalism" It should be stated as “nightmarishly creepy as hell” or more accurately “nightmarishly dystopian level of capitalism”. The fact that they have people listening in to everything going on as part of their job. That everything stated near the devices is recorded and tucked away somewhere and in many cases if you want to remove the recordings how can you be sure they were removed? That is assuming you can find a menu option to remove them? It isn’t as if these companies haven’t lied at every single turn along the way. How can they be trusted when they break the law at every turn and at best just get a fine imposed that is typically not even 1% of the profit taken from breaking the law.

Now let’s add to the fact that many if not a HUGE majority simply find talking to a computer aggravating at best. But talking to a computer with other people present typically is embarrassing and many people are self-conscious even in private talking to the computer assistant as they know that there is the real possibility that someone will listen and judge them for what they are saying and how they are saying it. As there isn’t any real privacy with these devices around. These companies need to face the fact that it isn’t Star Trek where people just say “Computer, scan the management of these companies for intelligence.” And the computer responds with “No intelligence found.”

But one sensor instead of two or three?

Having one sensor instead of two or three on this plane is just cheaping out and killed people. Even with the software glitch, having three sensors for redundancy would have solved this though the software bug wouldn't have been identified till all three sensors failed. Boeing cheaped out and should pay a VERY hefty price up to and including criminal negligence and toss whomever was responsible to declaring one sensor as enough in prison and if it was a committee all members of the committee in prison.

FISA

FISA would basically force any company with assets in the USA to claim it wasn't true or risk criminal charges against the executives, forfeiture of all assets and massive punitive fines in a worse case scenario.

It never stopped

You can bet everything you have that it hasn't ever stopped. Law or not, the NSA and the CIA have proven they are above the law and don't need to follow it as there are no repercussions to them EVER. They can and do get away with murder on a regular basis. So yeah nothing can be done about it and nothing will be done about it.

It is real easy to solve the staffing problem

Just open the damn wallet. If they can spend billions on equipment that isn't used but find that they can't use it for whatever reason maybe if they would pay people what they are really worth then they wouldn't have a staffing problem. You offer 200K+ a year for good programmers and there would be a stampede. They could then have very high standards and actually accomplish something. Going the route of capturing, torturing criminal CompSci peeps is only going to get you so far. Indocturning the little kiddies from the age of seven is only going to get you so far.... Maybe if you were to farm the children in some third world nation and control their every waking moment from birth on to follow their masters every word and command to learn coding and lay down their lives for the CIA/NSA in the name of the USA, then maybe they could do that cheaper. But if they want results now it is best to just pay people what they are worth. OR I could do a big study and charge them a paltry 100 million for the study and tell them the same thing.

Comcast doesn't want any competition

Comcast has openly stated on more than a few occasions where they actively work to eliminate competition so that they can raise prices and has stated clearly that with the purchase of Time-Warner that they will raise the prices where they are the established ISP to Comcast levels. They have been aggressively working to make a monopoly. SO yes if no one will come in to provide any kind of competition to make the pricing more competitive for the consumer benefit then why not? It is very clear that in locations where there is competition prices for bandwidth is sometime 25% of those locations where there is no competition. Where I live to get 30mb I have to pay $75 and I'm in town right by the fiber line. However just 50 miles to the south of me where there is competition you can get 60mb for $47 bucks a month. That's just bullshit.
