IPv6 usage soaring?
The following graph: https://www.google.com/intl/en/ipv6/statistics.html seems to indicate that about 1 in 6 users of Google access it from an IPv6 address.
I was quite surprised by this.

They've been talking about spinning off Thunderbird for years (since at least 2007, that I recall), and they even did it once... only to bring it back in when that didn't work well.
I like Thunderbird. I use it all the time and have installed it for a number of others. I haven't given my e-mail to Google, Yahoo, or Microsoft yet. I appreciate being able to use Thunderbird on multiple platforms, it provides a choice from the dominant platforms of the day, which always seemed to me to be a strong value of the Mozilla project.
Hmmm. Will stay tuned, but this is not good news.
Sigh. The Classic looks nice, but why did they have to make the keyboard straight? BB keyboards were always curved and small enough that they were reasonably easy to operate single-handedly.
It's like bringing back "Coke Classic" but with "almost the same taste as before, but not quite" :-)
I would still prefer to have a device with a real keyboard. Let's see if this catches on.
It's good that Blackberry is putting out a new phone for the many fans of its existing devices, but why did they not equip it with the truly classic "blackberry curved keyboard" that was space efficient and so nice to use? It really gave you the impression that it was purposefully made for a small handheld device. Current "flat horizontal layout" is OK but definitely not as nice.
Oh well, at least they're trying to address the wishes of many of their users albeit somewhat late.
Seriously, why don't they come up with a device that uses the same type of keyboard that their old phones used to have. Many of the BB fanatics liked the tactile feedback *and the rounded shape* of their old keyboards... and then, even when they added a keyboard to BB10 devices, they went for a "straight" alignment of the keys which didn't make it as pleasant to use as the old scheme.
Sigh! When they dropped BB5, they also stopped completely making devices available that had the physical characteristics that people were comfortable with. They might have been surprised at how many people would have bought a device with "a blackberry keyboard" underneath a taller screen.
Oh well, I have now been typing on a silly glass keyboard for a few years (Android, IOS...), but still don't like it... and I am left to wonder at BB's strategy !?!?!
