Gave up trying to buy a copy of Space Milkshake from Amazon as they insist that I "register" my "device". Too much bullshit.
Went to the Space Milkshake website - the download was $2 cheaper than Amazon and was a plain, old MP4 file with no stupid DRM to inconvenience me.
Wonder what Worstall thinks of this...
They'll have no choice: if the US economy tanks badly enough, not only will they lose their biggest customer but they'll have no way to collect on all that debt they bought. Trying to repossess any part of our country won't work as our government won't give up any place useful like the West Coast (technology) or the Gulf coast (oil refining) or most of the Rectangle States (agriculture) or the East Coast (finance and Federal govt.). They might give China Idaho and laugh their asses off as the Chinese try to deal with all the survivalists holed up in the mountains or maybe Florida and let all the old people run them over at 3mph. So the Chinese are fscked.
"The US is actively forcing Russia and China to form some kind of alliance."
They can't form any sort of meaningful alliance as they have been polluted - both countries have McDonald's "restaurants".
Come to think of it, that may explain how US laws get enforced in other countries. North Korea has no McDonald's and US laws definitely don't get enforced there...
"The roads are designed for Autos. They pay the taxes that provide upkeep for the roadways. YOU DON'T!"
WRONGO! Autos don't pay taxes, the owners of the autos pay taxes. Since road wear and tear rises exponentially with weight, bicycles cause almost no damage while cars cause about 1% damage and OTR trucks are responsible for about 99% of the road wear and tear. The problem is not that bicyclists aren't paying their fair share, the problem is that the owners of the trucks aren't paying their fair share as they only pay 35% of the cost of road maintenance. These are US figures.

And no, I do not ride a bicycle, I drive a minivan. A loud, butt-ugly minivan that gets people the hell outta my way!
