You were told to clean up our systems, not delete 8,000 crucial files

Re: A file so large...

At least the 2G file size limit makes sense in the context of 32-bit compilers of the era. Even Unix varients of the era using mbox format rather than maildir tended to have a ~2G mailbox limit. This has caused me to lose email in the (increasingly distant) past. Now it goes in a tool using maildir whose only limitation is partition size, and is lost because I never remember a unique enough portion to ever find again. :)

Re: It's GWX Control Panel or Linux

There's a decent batch of updates to kill on the PC Master Race subreddit as well https://www.reddit.com/r/pcmasterrace/comments/3g7hr0/removing_telemetry_from_windows_7_and_8x/

But even after disabling/removing bad updates, you will still want to reality check any new updates before installing. I've seen a couple magically reappear after hiding them so they don't get inadvertantly installed

Re: not exactly

The "average Joe" would still get the ~$45,000 due to most American companies not paying employees for unused vacation, instead either stopping accruing at some magical number of hours or a "use-or-lose" system where on a magical date (usually end of year or end of 1st quarter,) any amount of unused leave evaporates back into the ether.
