Competition? We've heard of it. MoD snubs cloud rivals to hand Microsoft £17.7m Azure hosted services gig

Re: Fish

I'm not sure you understand the concept of cloud computing if you think the alternative is to build your own.

Microsoft explains self-serve Power platform's bypassing of Office 365 admins to cries of 'are you completely insane?'

Personally don't see how MS are making your data loss scenarios more likely. If anything, power BI in tenant means your data stays within your walled garden. Users intent on finding shadow IT without this will sign up for services off your tenancy shifting data somewhere else.

IMO, IT departments scared of this change are fighting a losing battle. You cannot lock down your systems to prevent this sort of thing without rendering your business crippled

To be fair, patches may fix existing problems but still introduce new ones. I've been tempted to add "... and many new bugs you've never seen before" to the bottom of our software release notes for a few months now.

Get ready for Google's proprietary Android. It's coming – analyst

That's not my understanding of why Android was created. The world prior to that had manufacturer specific OS's everywhere. The chocolate factory wanted to slurp your data without having to write 100 different apps to do so.

Ultimately, Android exists to make Google money - above all other aims that's the one that matters

Wish it was that simple. Shut downs on my pro 3 sometimes lead to the date & time being wrong. Which means no VPN access. I can only fix by logging on with local admin credentials to fix. Non-IT users don't have that luxury

Re: So

Might be worth reading up on consumer rights. Samsung have nothing to do with it - your contract is with the retailer, not the manufacturer who DO have a legal obligation. (Assuming you haven't bought direct from Samsung, that is)
