Lessons from history

Pre the return of Steve Jobs in the 1990s Apple tried this type of approach with a clone programme on non-apple hardware. This caused a very significant drop in turnover and profits and was canned by Jobs after he took over from Gil Amelio.

Doesn't fit their business model and OS X is free. If you want to run it on non-apple hardware google hackintosh and good luck with the drivers...

Errmm, para 3 of Article 50 does give a two year limit -

"3. The Treaties shall cease to apply to the State in question from the date of entry into force of the withdrawal agreement or, failing that, two years after the notification referred to in paragraph 2, unless the European Council, in agreement with the Member State concerned, unanimously decides to extend this period."

and para 2 -

2. A Member State which decides to withdraw shall notify the European Council of its intention...

Salutory tale from the world of education -

Under Live@edu teachers automatically got Skydrive for free, so it became their Home directory in practice even though there is no backup for data stored (still the case according to the EULA). This is why O365 doesn't include Skydrive.

Put simply, if it can be used in this manner it will be and no amount of warnings will prevent a loss of data through user error.
