spoofing counter-measures
Sounds expensive. Also a bit woolly impossible to really verify in practice. The best kind of defence procurement project.

Was this transport business going to have the mission statement "nobody likes us, we don't care" ?
In which case you can see a clear overlap with the license-rights-enforcement-juggernaut from over the pond.
Perhaps TCFKA Oracle101 have a fee scale which starts off based on freight weight and miles travelled but then starts randomly adding in per-spark plug and per-valve multipliers as well as clawing back driver wages from time to time
we had a monthly Excellence Award, or Effort Award as it was more commonly known
I know that scheme as Star of the Week from KS1/2 teacher training (shorter event horizon at that age). Did your involve a laminated certificate and stickers?

I analysed a large quantity of binary data only to find that it consisted solely of ones and zeros so I wrote a de-dupe algorithm that can reduce any arbitrary data-set to two (2) bits.
I will be launching a kickstarter shortly to fund further development of the decompression algo, but if anyone here wants to invest early on preferential terms just DM me.

Note. I'm still not sure what a millennial is. Some people say it's those who became adults at the millennial, others say it's those born since then
The former was the original definition. I think it has now morphed into what hip gammons call young people if they are avoiding snowflake out of a surfeit of politeness.
I feel similarly discomfited by the thought of millenials being in their mid-thirties. Also by their damn bikes on my lawn.
...I have the air-con ... fan ... blowing directly at my face, all the year round
Now we know you are clearly lying
If they just scrapped SLS and bought launches, then the science budget could be massively boosted. NASA should stick to what it is good at. Probes and science.
The SLS is a money pit whose primary purpose appears to be to pork barreling senators/congress persons rather than actually launching anything.
Sadly, without that pork they might find their science budget massively cut...
As a PFY in the early nineties I had to install Trumpet Winsock onto a Win 3.1 machine so it could connect to a new client server app in the US office of $bigco where I was working at the time.
I installed it on a test system first and realised that the Computer Weakly Bits & Bytes column from last week about checking if your $bigco has an internet gateway might be worth try.
Internet gateway security barely being a thing back then I spent a few happy hours connecting to BBS and downloading this and that, even getting as far as downloading mosaic and checking out the half dozen or so www sites that were available.
Fast forward a few weeks and my boss wanders over to ask me about if I knew anything about a bill he was being asked to approve for the new client server app project. I almost shit myself imagining that I had unknowingly racked up some sort of metered bandwidth bill and wondering if they could tell what I had been browsing. Luckily if what just the licenses for the Winsock software...
Sorry, but inclusivity, however important that may be to you, doesn't extend to fields requiring professional competence (which only comes through experience), and for very good reasons. Do you want the "inclusive" brain surgeon, or the talented experienced one?
Ay, there's the rub. For your discrimination must be applied strictly on professional competence and not on culturally similar to the existing cohort and competent enough. My answer is I would rather have the best possible surgeon, not the good enough, right school/family one.
It's then necessary to take up the floor and replace the whole cable.
I think that only applies to structural concrete floors. If there is a void with removable panels/tiles then there will be an obscure compatibility issue that means you can easily replace the cable but also need to replace the display panel as well as upgrade all of the rest of your AV/IM infrastructure and migrate to a different vendor platform that does not inter-operate with your biggest customer. Or something
I spent a while looking at thispersondoesnotexist the other day. Leaving aside those images with a gross distortion artefact in the background I noticed that almost all had what looked like weird skin folds in the neck or around the edge of the face, sort of like wrinkles but not quite. They seemed to re-use the same teeth a lot which was another giveaway. I got bored before I got a fake/real guess wrong (ok it didn't take that long). Without the training a good set of fake faces and the expectation that exactly one in each pair is fake I would not be so confident
While I find it hard to believe that you have ever rubbed anyone up the wrong way at work bob, I think you ought to draw a clearer distinction between discrimination based on protected characteristics, which is illegal, discrimination based on irrelevant characteristics which is unfair (and may be illegal if it correlates too closely with a protected characteristic) and discrimination based on relevant characteristics which is the purpose of a hiring and promotion policy in the first place.
Was this on a ship?
(genuinely baffled)
You want to view the html source in your browser. All becomes clear:

I was puzzled at the first read, then I read it out loud again in my brother's voice and the penny dropped. Third person self-reference was another clue
using the term "5G" even though (as the article points out) there's no concrete definition as to what it actually is
What it is, is It's one faster isn't it?
PHB: 'This piss-ant little vendor wants us to accept a perpetual license agreement. Sounds too good to be true. It must be a trap. You there. Copy and paste the Oracle terms and tell them to accept a grown-up's license agreement or fuck off. This is why they pay me the big bucks.'
Now come on, who here wouldn't love to draw a curve onto the divider line up to a brick wall and paint a tunnel on it as a test of this technology?
Yeah sure but you'll feel a right cunt when the AV goes straight through the tunnel and when you try to follow it you smack right into a wall
But all that is set to change now I've discovered that there is an office suite I can use for listing US state capitals. When I think of the countless times I've been sitting in front of the the screen staring at "Little Rock AR, Sacramento CA..." and wondering what comes next. Not any more!
Well you just destroyed 4% of the value right there
