One of the legitimate concerns raised seems to be about overspill of the jamming interference beyond the area where jamming is required and may be justified. Surely some sort of variant along the lines of sophon-free rooms from Liu Cixin's Death's End would be a better solution with the risk of electrocution for the careless being simply a serendipitous side benefit?
Explain to me how they can delete selected images from those backups. Thought not.
Public sector IT(or indeed much private sector)? What are the chances that
backups are being taken at all?
backups are being taken successfully?
successful restores are possible?
On a more serious note, presumably deletion of the index could make restores impractical.
I'm quite possibly missing something here - but isn't this saying (in long and convoluted language) that if a vehicle is insured with an insurer, the insurer is responsible for the insured losses?
What's actually new?
I think that what is new is that with an automated vehicle there was a lot more scope for arguing that liability lay with a third-party (the manufacturer) and for the insurer to disavow responsibility (having covered the liabilities of the insured 'driver'). Those arguments can still take place but the injured parties will get compo from the insurer in the mean time.
This one works and doesn't look like crap. Rather expensive though. However if you've got a hand as steady as a band stand conductor's you will probably leave bits of residue while trying to stick it on as you move it just a bit for the umpteenth time.
'Customers also bought... (page 4): Kleenex Mansize Tissues, Compact Pack - 24 Box Pack (1200 Tissues Total)' so I would view that removable without any residue assertion with suspicion, or something.
reverse grip?---->
What's a "DVD"?
It's a flattened wax cylinder made of mirrors that is played with sparks instead of bamboo needles. It is more advanced than a Mutoscope because it allows the presentation of several hours worth of industry ranting about prates before you get to the bit with the lady in bloomers who shows you her ankles.
Maybe the security is in case Bruce Willis or Chuck Norris comes after him, because Zuckerberg seems to have a tenuous grasp of reality, he may not realise that (a) Fictional, (b) Getting old.
Hang on, what's the real story here, that Bruce Willis is fictional or that Chuck Norris ages?
Tim Cook. Is the CEO of Apple. But if you ask anyone who's the first name that they think of when it comes to Apple... its Steve Jobs. (Steve Jobs[RIP] is still a large chunk of the brand).
In addition to the security dividend of being wotsisname that replaced Steve Jobs, tim also benefits from the halo effect of looking the spit of UK national treasure Paul O'Grady. That's gotta help defuse a few tense security situations
Two small nukes can wipe out the entire US electrical grid
Tree branches and accidentals switch-offs can knock out the US grid (although, as usual, sqirrels are the real power terrorists).
Thankfully, that's all the History I can remember.
I'm pretty sure that you have remembered too much. Whilst it was once thought that there were four (4) memorable dates in the history of England, a research done at the Eton and Harrow match revealed that two of them were NOT memorable.*
*as any fule kno.
Given that sound is a physical transmission through air, at what bps rate does movement in the air start to cause disruption? Don't want a bit of a draft from someone walking past to make the data go all wibbly-wobbly*
I hate it when you are trying to have a conversation and somebody walks past to quickly and blows half of the words away
Essentially a floating petrol station complete with shop, her main duty is supposed to be refuelling Royal Navy and allied ships on the high seas
And presumably providing pasties, overpriced 12v chargers, wilted flowers and last-minute xmas and birthday presents for partners of the soon-to-be dumped
How do you get a US bot to understand that... [X !⇒ X]
Does it matter if a US meatsack will not reliably understand it? There are universal and cultural aspects to understanding human communications. You train your chatbot to understand what you need it to understand. Just like you would a person.
About 1.3 million votes as I recall.
Is your point that 1300000 people would tend to be characterised as a large amount and that therefore the margin for Brexit should also be considered to be large?
Also, in the same way that Brexiteers legitimately point out that not all* Leave voters did because Nativism or lack of understanding, similarly, whilst I imagine there may be some correlation between entusiasm for border control and for Brexit it is simply not possible to infer a majority for one from a majority for the other.
*I'm really not trying to suggest anything about the intersection between racists or halfwits and the sets of leave, remain or abstaining voters. None are the empty set.
What I, and the comment you are replying to, are talking about is where the audio gets out of sync with the video by multiple seconds, making the experience indeed akin to watching a badly dubbed film.
Detectability limits for audio sync are +45ms (audio leads) to -125ms (audio trails). Viewer tolerance limits for still being able to enjoy a TV show are much more subjective obviously but are quoted as +90 ms to –185 on average in the ref below

spec sheet sounds great but I bet it will have a cold, clinical soundstage. I'm already assuming that you used a directional, oxygen free atmosphere to propagate your wifi signal.
I've been suspicious of new audio-tech ever since that fancy pants valve amp melted one of my wax cylinders
I mean, would you like the same level of security used for launching nuclear missiles to be applied to, say, launching your car...?
Pro tip: Some nuclear powers sell of old ICBMs via military surplus auction sites. I have one for my daily commute (without the warhead obvs). Not sure that it is strictly road legal but it has outrun every cop car so far. I just hope the po-po never get the budget to start using 'yet-to-be built technology' in their pursuit fleet.
They hadn't asked for it to sell me the ticket but refused to give me a refund if I didn't give that information.
AIUI one of the motivations for asking for an address to process a refund is fraud detection. Obviously only the frauds too stupid to think of giving a hooky address but I am sure there are plenty of that type.
I bet they totally abuse the data for marketing too though.
