IIS has a very good security record - one of the more secure platforms....current versions (IIS 8 / 8.5) have zero known vulnerabilities I believe....and before that you have to go back years to find anything that affected a default installation of an IIS webserver...
As per website defacement statistics - you are several times more likely to be hacked running say Linux....

Microsoft always allowed you to choose once from multiple preinstalled OSs. What they didn't allow you to do was boot Windows via a 3rd party boot loader or dual boot Windows. Which for support and security reasons makes sense - as well of course of locking out the competition from a co-existence embrace and replace strategy...

Not true - BF4 is upscaled on the PS4 - and looks worse than on the Xbox One as the PS4 upscales in software, whereas the Xbox One does it in hardware....And Watch Dogs only runs at 30fps on the PS4...
Forza 5 is 60fps / 1080p on the Xbox One - so it's possible to do - the Xbox One has advanced compressed texture tiling technology and a 200GBps on chip cache that the PS4 doesn't - that will take developers a while to learn to use....
The PS4 is a games only crippled PC - no CD, no MP3, no DNLA, etc, etc. I can't see why anyone would buy one versus a PC.
The Xbox One at least does a lot more that you can't currently do on a PC with Kinect and the HDMI input capability...

Nope. Safe harbour provisions assume that companies will apply an appropriate level of diligence to your data if they store it in the colonies - but with no way of enforcing it if they don't....
Hopefully the Edward Snowden revelations will change all that and Europe will start taking the US approach of forcing compliance with our laws on those that want to do business with us...
No Virgin speed issues here - I can max out my connection any time of day without much difficulty. The fastest home service I have ever had, and I have tried a few 'fibre' based ones. I can hit the claimed 120Mbps down / 12Mbps up quite easily.
I suggest that your neighbour's issues are likely due to the Internet - not Virgin.
Your comparison is not valid as you are not testing anything remotely similar....
But Zen don't seem to offer anything close to a 120 Mbps service? The highest seems to be "up to 76 Mbps" for £25 + VAT
Also it doesn't seem to be available without a phone line costing another £17 + VAT a month....
Virgin 120 Mbps costs £35 + VAT with no phone line required....so cheaper.

You don't understand what you are talking about. Win32 is a CPU specific API. Pretty much all of the underlying core Windows low level features are available in Windows RT - just via different APIs.

ADFS is designed as an Active Directory Federation solution for all requirements, so it would be more complex overall to offer multiple product versions. ADFS isn't that complex to setup and requires near zero management once configured....

ADFS is baked into Standard Server. You just select the Role you want installed using Server Manager....
