Barmy ban on businesses, Brits based in Blighty bearing or buying .eu domains is back: Cut-off date is Jan 1, 2021

Re: We dont need .eu !!! :)

I dont see thousands of Americans dying from their chicken?

TheVogon

Re: And will .co.uk domains be restricted to UK residents only?

Since when did anyone actually check registration addresses / entities except for say .mil, .gov and .edu?

TheVogon

1. The Monarchy bring in circa £2 billion a year more in UK revenue from tourism and trade than they cost us, so no.

2. Depends on what it is replaced with.

TheVogon

The UK government can easily pass a law giving itself the authority if it wanted to. And Nominet would have to comply just like they did with GDPR.

Both contractors and Ltd companies have a significantly higher level of risk and lower level of guaranteed benefits than employees hence why the relative tax and NI rates reflect this.

TheVogon

Re: So, it's a PC, right ?

Not sure what you mean by "release Windows 10 for it". The Xbox One X already runs on the Windows 10 kernel.

TheVogon

Re: So, it's a PC, right ?

No You won't find any of that. Microsoft integrate GPU and CPU on the silicon so you will have a much faster bus speed than PCI for instance. This is why for instance the Xbox One X can significantly outperform a comparatively speced PC.

TheVogon

Re: It looks like a PC...

No, not just a PC. Different and much faster bus architecture for instance.

TheVogon

Re: So, it's a PC, right ?

Steam developers that want their games to run on the Xbox need only to submit them via the Xbox store.

Pentagon's $10bn JEDI decision 'risky for the country and democracy,' says AWS CEO Jassy

TheVogon

Re: AWS vs Microsoft

Azure and almost all its infrastructure is based an an OS / Hypervisor image from a single manufacturer.

AWS is a bolt together of many many tool and systems - both in house and external.

Guess which is way way simpler to user and generally performs better? Clue - it isn't AWS.

TheVogon

But less risky than choosing AWS.

Its bulletproof. So the autonomous mode is clearly designed for school runs to replace those awful yellow buses that you see everywhere in the US.

And lets not forget that in America people so lazy that they drive from one shop to the one next door. They all have car parks and often you cant actually get between neighbouring stores on foot without walking back to the street!

TheVogon

They already sold 300,000 of them so they will build it. Electric vehicles can easily generate vast torque and power outputs - so the performance claims are unlikely to be inaccurate. If it has a 500 miile range the weight of the batteries alone is probably enough to allow it to tow a 6 tonne trailer.

TheVogon
