Sadly only once close up. The return leg of my 1st visit to the US from SF we finally pulling into the Heathrow stall in our big Boeing. The next stand had Concorde on. Boy she looked small (but perfectly formed) & I felt right back at home.

Co-incidence. I worked in Arkwright Road in Reading (it's not a very big street). Visitors from out of area used to stop and photograph it if they could get to a camera quick enough (pre-mobiles). Even the good burghers of Reading used to come to a standstill in Broad Street @ 11:00hrs on a Saturday (at least I think that's when it was). PP

User needed 40-minute lesson in turning it off and turning it on again

I thought that was what Solitaire was for. I remember presenting my 70 something Mum with a mouse to play a DOS version of Risk. Took her 10-15 mins to get the hand eye co-ordination thingy going before she could even deploy troops but that's training and your diatribe to the Manager was most justified.

I have a numeric keypad and a full QWERTY UK keyboard. Both Enter keys are spelt out in plain English. Conversely, I'd like to see most "users" find the "Windows" key. PP
