Cipher....

Back in the day authorities could obtain a warrant to intercept snail mail but there was (is) nothing to stop the sender applying a cipher to it, the key to which is ONLY held by the recipient. PP

Doesn't Chicago have a mostly over ground metro rail system? How about DLR. If you're building out a new part of a city (or better building a new city) public transport infrastructure can be built in like sewage, water, gas and electric and in some cases high speed FTTH. PP

Expiring batteries.

We've had loads of Prius Mk2s/3s and Lexus. Certainly 40 odd. (I've had 3 since 2006). I asked our FD if we'd ever needed to replace a battery. Apparently, only 1 and that was warranty work.

My current Prius is 94,000mls and absolutely fine. PP

Back a few years by local served me a pint (bitter) with an oversized head. I DID ask "do I get a Flake with that". He chucked a Flake in my beer. Oddly, it was one of those bitters that quite suited a chocletty addition. PP
