Re: Dyslexic analysis disorder
As someone with depression, I can understand the link quite easily.
Its rather more effort to make coffee than reach down and open up another can of that lovely sweet cola I have sitting beside me.

I'd like to see a study on how they change during the process of drinking. My friends have noticed an amusing trend that the more I drink, the better I become on FPS's.
I've come to the conclusion that this is due to me relaxing, and being less twitchy while aiming and so getting better at aiming....
Few years later we'll see the argument for giving all the troops rations of beer when out in the field ;)
Legally a phone line provider must provide the ability to call 999 i believe.... or something to this effect. VoIP has no way of ensuring this, and so no one seems to provide "just" that - however I think you could register for skype/google talk or something?
BT and others do offer *some* voip stuff, however you might not of been aware it was using voip at the time, and as it still requires the line to your house, you wouldn't make a saving there?
I think we have a winner.
Youtubes latest upgrade which you can play with if you manage to get lucky (I've had it appear once) with a pop out window.
Basically its a controller-less interface which you then control remotely by pairing another device to allow you to skip videos, and navigate totally from else where.
It wouldn't take much to push this out further, having any TV run a simple "google" app that is controlled like this, via phone, or tablet which you do all your browsing on.
The fact isn't that the game is shit - the fact is the blurb for the game claims a lot of things about the game which simply aren't true.
Number of players is wrong, in game area is wrong, there is no buyable experience points, but they do have buyable (with real money) weaponary, many many more things.
It was clearly more fun to poke fun at someones comment than actually doing the small amount of research required. As for GAME, I'm not sure who'd be liable if they sold a game which advertised having things it didn't as most of the staff wouldn't have the means to check ( I worked there for awhile) however we'd prob refund it as faulty.
As a bloke who regularly got followed by security guards I know exactly what he looks like.
He'll be scruffy looking, with long hair. He'll be slightly geeky.
He'll walk in wearing a long leather trenchcoat or something simular, walk around the store looking at random products.
Why do I know this? Because all security guards seem to be idiots who ignore the ladies and follow the guy who "LOOKS" like a thief. Mean while they empty the place.
Indeed, when it finally means I get adverts that are both relevant and maybe advertises will learn not to use explosive flashing ads to try and get my attention then again, I'm all for it.
I've _never_ brought something online from clicking an ad online, I go directly to sites to buy things I already know I want before I even booted the system. I don't see what they hope to get from me, but if it means I get more wonderful free services as I have now then go ahead.
Well salt doesn't make it harder to crack at all, it just means your rainbow tables are useless.
As for how long to crack SHA-512....
Well a post on stack overflow puts it at 10^128 years, if your using a standard "desktop" - while this machine is designed specifically for these kinds of attacks, it still in no way puts a dent in the time taken to brute force a SHA-512 for now, as long as no exploits are found.
~(All figures are off the top of my head/off random pages on the net).
Hmmmm not surprising
I heal incredibly fast - fast enough that doctors and nurses after operations have commented on how quickly I've recovered. I also recover quickly from anesthetic as well.... leading to some weird effects when I wake up far sooner than they expect.
Genetic mutation? I'd think so, and its quite common too..... though it won't spread much as it doesn't really give any ability to live longer/stronger/faster than anyone else.
Good luck.
The encryption is done with software, which is on the disk.
Unless he was using an external boot disk (and lets be honest, so far the hackers in the news don't appear to be all that ;)) then the software for decrypting is clearly visible on the disk before the encrypted data.
There is no good ones, only varying levels of bad.
For what its worth, every time I've had a problem with VM (which has been 3 times in about 5 years) they've been rather prompt and nice about fixing it.
The time I phoned up and said I felt I was paying too much, and wished they'd do me a better deal.... well they did, 3x the broadband speed with a free modem upgrade (doing it via the site was asking £50 which I laughed at).
Cue screaming over their terrible super hub, but I always planned to run it as a modem (I basically did with the old one via DMZ). My only issue is sometimes I hit their limiting hard, and they break xbox live when they limit it (The core xbox live service works fine, but *some* games which appear to use p2p connections get limited, making that unplayable).
I thought iodine itself is fine, its the fact that it happily absorbs radiation.
The pills contain concentrated iodine, so once taken, you body absorbs less iodine from the environment (and so you get less radioactive iodine).
I maybe completely wrong here, it just is something I read when researching about fukushima.
Or he's hiding something and trying to go anywhere else will cause too many questions.
Clearly the police are incompetent - they didn't find him on the beach under a cardboard box? I'm sure thats not the first time I've heard of someone hiding like this, and in a place with lots of beaches I'd expect to have expected the police to have heard of it too.
The point stands however, if he's really innocent he can easily seek refuge to many countries, Belize is hardly a place I expect that most places have a extradition agreement with? Especially if he thinks he'll be killed upon arrival.
I once spilt rather a lot of coke on my logitech keyboard - its a cheap one - randomly I have exactly the same model at work.
Anyway I took it as it was, and placed it into the bath. I then filled the bath with warmish water. I shook it slightly and bits of dirt started to float out, and the coke appeared to dissolve (I think I actually split it while drinking late one night and left it to the next morning, at which time it'd solidified) freeing up some of the keys.
I removed some of the large keys - spacebar, return key, enter on the numpad and shook it some more - more bits of dirt floated out.
I repeated this on and off for about 3 hours. Then turned it over so the keys were facing down, changed the water and left it another hour or so...... some more rubbish floated out.
Then I took it out, wrapped it in a towel and left it on a warmish radiator for 2 days - it was and still is perfect...... however its about time it was cleaned again. I just need a keyboard to use in the mean time.
Same reason you don't care about IOS5 and Old Android versions of course.
Your point is valid, but it doesn't merely relate to MS, it is something that is broken on all the major mobile platforms.
As an aside, this morning I was handed a laptop which was running thunderbird 2...... I'd never even heard of thunderbird when they had released version two so that was fun - Instead of just uninstalling and reinstalling I simply kept hitting the "search for updates" button and updating to the next version it suggested. it went from 1 -> 3 -> 12 quite happily, did the same with Firefox as well, although that wasn't nearly as outdated.
Until someone realizes mobiles need this level of simple upgrading then there is always going to be po'ed customers wondering why they can't at least try out the latest apps etc.
Hmmm
Community service is unpaid right? So have them doing that - All it ever does is improve areas (Ok there maybe some costs for materials / equipment) but these people have already been assessed to see if they *can* work, so let/make them.
Charity shops are unpaid, and I'm sure there is many many more jobs that could be done with just sheer man power which can't be looked at otherwise. I'm sorry but if your getting money because you can't find a job, you can work for it and have money for then working instead.
