Now I tend to do one very 6 moths. Back then a lot more.

It scares me when people are afraid of a reinstall and would rather have software make it worse.

A reinstall is a lot easier than uninastalling the shit you have installed, and yes I include myself thatg does not install a lot. Faster metghod of new install is faster. Of course things I need to keep are on other drives (mostly) and the ssd games are backed up so magically appear to the installers without downloading.

But yes I think they are an improvement. Unlike most things where it hobbles dekstop to make mobile use "better" this improves desktop use. I have space here, use it! Just a pity most websites want to look like a tall tree in the middle of the page for some reason! (yes it's that mobile thing again).

Maybe the RNG gods just went bad for coop and morrions and it was time for everybody to use a chip and pin refresh operation (or some glitch made it so).

Contactless does not work forever and the appropriate response to it failing is not to try again, but to use a chip/pin payment.

From my point of view if it's no cards then it's no go. It occured to my coop 6 odd months ago (equipment failure), but they had the sense to put up a sign on the door to deter you away rather than waste your time (and the cash point still worked). But really, come on can they not fall back on offline transactions? No, becuase the processors passed the fraud reponsibilioty back onto the shop rather than the processor so they won;t take the risk. I used to love those imprint machines too!

Like windows idea of why I should put files I ignore it.

I'll manage my files, the OS can mange its own. That way a fresh install is never an issue if I juist feel like one.

(and yes on linux or windows there are severl important configs on the os drive, these I back up on another drive also).

The idea of using a known mountpoint/palce the os knows about for anything is outdated and ridiculous.

However 4:3. Never has there been such a monitor unless they started recently 5:4 maybe.

Only idiots used it. Win 2000 came out first so there was no reason to use it. Hell I'd have moved to NT4 if it had DX support. Yes I played lot's of game. Yes win 2000 worked fine for it.

Nothing wrong with vista. I guess the orig needed a lot of painful configuring but SP1 was fine. Vista was the last MS OS I actually bought! Why? Because I needed a 64 bit OS and XP (the OS we all laughed at and kept using win 2000 for as long as we could) 64 bit was only ever a unsupported tech preview.

My old 720 lcd with bezel had great sound.

I missed the really crap era where they thought back facinf was a good idea! (your neighbours will love you for it ;-) )

Now they are ok, down facing thoughthe thinness does not help.

If only they could just puit a bezel at the bottom and have decent speakers and a budlge at the back at the bottom.

Why don't they. Well my current 50 inch LG $K TV being about half the cost (or maybe even less) than my old 720 LG. They needed to find a way to claw bakc the cost. The soundbars probably have a 95% markup.

You have a right to bring a complaint within 6 years of purchase. There is no specified time that a item should last. That is left up to common sense/the courts.

Now I would find 2 years to be reasonable for most chromebooks (they are cheap, yet also overpriced). However the ridiculous costing ones I would expect to last at least 6 years. But I'm sure they are also supported as long.

Sucks to be you buying underpowered bulbs.

Moved house last year so all bulbs here are now LED (excepting 1 CFL I had left that I used for one of the lights i put in the loft).

A 6 or 7.5 watt led is much brighter that old bulbs were. And a 4 watt GU10 seems a much better repalcement for all the 50 watt halogen gu10's that came with the multi light fitting i put up and all the halogen gu10's dies within 6 months as usual. The leds are still running and have had no problems.

And FWIW all my LED's are ASDA branded.However I do look to see who made them and only grab if it's a good one/ Maybe some of the cheap ones are not. I guess some people cannot cope with the fact that a led bulb cost more that old bulbs used to and buys low watt or crap.

Not to mention leds come in any colour range you want.
