Ironically iTunes was a major factor in driving me to try Ubuntu. Never looked back. Even learned to love unity.

Now when friends go "windows had just started telling me that it isn't genuine!" I make sympathetic noises.

I guess apple users are a bit different, but anyone pliant enough to learn how to use a track pad differently can't be too fussy.

It's been a while but I found it flaky as hell from Ubuntu's launcher but perfectly solid from the command line. Go figure!

It does appear to be a _bit_ less of a dog's dinner than Eclipse. Those Eclipse right-click context menus that go off the bottom of the screen still scare me!

Not on my Moto G - holding volume down gradually reduces the volume to zero. Silent mode remembers your preset volume level but switches into silent mode. Then you can just turn it off again to go back to the previous volume level without having to guess.
