How would you play F-16 Combat Pilot?
As much as I love the idea, my problem with both the vega original and this, aside from issues of quality and price is the promise that you can play all 14,000 spectrum games
How would you play a game that uses the full keyboard?

AppShopper was pulled too
The App Shopper (touch arcade guys) app was pulled too but has since been relaunched on the store as a new app. Does much of what it did before and now doesn't fall foul of the changes. I suspect these guys to do the same with some major tweaking. For now I have both the old and the new on my device until I'm convinced all is OK.
Still it was a ridiculous rule change by apple, not that it really surprises me.

Virgin Media blames Activision for Call of Duty lag problems
I wonder if an official complaint to ofcom the toothless dog can be made?
Virgin Media traffic shaping policy is a joke. As a long time customer of the service (back in ntl days and before where I live) I am beginning to wonder if a formal complaint can be made. You pay for a fast service but because of the ludicrous policy you can't actually use it. You hit the arbitrary download limit in less than 1 hr and get traffic shaped with a 75% drop in speed for 5 hrs. Total bs.
Actual policy is here:

It's possible I guess but hard to tell given the photo. Clearly she's not dressing like that at the bench or there'd be no complaints anyway.

Extragalactic black hole particle fountain awesomeness
I remember those.
I can't remember what it was either, red wheel with circular holes cut in the rim and a fairly plan metal wire loop thing. As for whether or not they are still around you could probably find them in a 'classic' toy shop or something. And no, the kids are definitely NOT more sophisticated these days, although the toys they play with are.
Student accused of posting bogus coupons to 4chan
Yeah
they are barcoded ones. For a while last year there were tons of these threads on 4chan discount things like Monster energy drinks by stupid margins too. They looked 'legit' ish but there was no way they were.. one ounce of common sense is all it takes to smell something fishy given the barcode and issuing company. Smart kid tho.

Who keeps that much in iPhoto?
100+GB of photos in iPhone? Seriously? That's just stupid. Use aperture or some professional package if you have that much. Personally I have time machine backups but also this:
