Agree completely.

The problem now is people buy computers in tesco and get offered Mcaffee and Norton, both of which are useless and spend more on advertising than actual research and updates.

These people may not care about their computers, but when they're used as botnets to attack others and national infastructure, they should be arrested as terrorists if it's obvious they haven't done anything to secure their computer.

Everyone should be required to do a basic ECDL course at school by law.

No i'm assuming it's used as a phone, hence contact names and dates of birth, maybe a couple passwords.

Easily enough to cause havoc or possibly steal an identity.

Then moving onto the smartphone, we get more information, possible Facebook info, easily enough to steal an identity and find out where they work, where they live etc

Well since there's no evidence tying Bradley Manning to Julian Assainge or i believe Wikileaks, then that would be singlehanded as he's the only person being prosecuted for any involvement.

And the dictator i meant was Gadaffi as he is now on the verge of being ousted from power thanks to a revolution, bought on by Wikileaks, from what has been in the media.

I had a contract 4 months before this came into effect and it blocked a lot of sites i use just for news and humor.

They then tried to charge me £1 to prove my age, which they already know since i'm on contract and already had my card info.

£1 they take is not equal to £2.50 in credit as they can create more credit by pushing a button.

This is a scam.

Windows must update, please restart, please pull over to the hard shoulder for your engine to die.

Windows error reporting console, reporting error.

Please do not use the vehicle while Windows spends 10 minutes sending this error report.

That video slowed down my work computer so much that 3 programs, including Firefox stopped responding for nearly 10 minutes.

Bought some £55 Sony Ericsson bluetooth headphones and haven't looked back.

Brilliant sound quality and they're wireless.

Still, android is encouraging and giving a face to open source.

It's in the best interests of everyone that it succeed as the other options are walled gardens that stifle innovation and actively fight open source.

Without open source we would be forced to pay high prices for office documents and freeware would be non-existant.

Android on the other hand can grow and expand in unexpected ways, but always in the way you choose rather than Apple or Microsoft.

I chose android because at the time there was no WP7 and apple had already been shown to use slave labour for pennies.

If i had chosen WP7 now i'd be seriously regretting it.
