My Xoom is less than 6 months old and if it doesn't get supposrt for Ice Cream Sandwich at the LEAST then i'll buy Sony Ericsson next time and not renew my future workplace contracts with them.
If Motorola won't keep a product up to date for even 1 YEAR then it's disgusting they can milk customers for more money rather than doing updates.

It's not rocket science, the permissions screen is clearly noticeable to anyone with eyes.
The only way around this is forcing someone to stay on that page for 10 seconds before the install button lights up.
At the end of the day if the permissions for an application could give you a 100,000 volt shock and kill you then a lot of thick people would still not read the permissions, accept them, and then try and sue if they survived.

Carbon Dioxide is plant food.
The more food, the more trees and plants grow, this in turn uses more CO2 to sustain that plant and keeps us the same, not worse off.
The world will not have been cooked/drowned by fossil fuel gas in 50 years like the tree huggers claim but you will be cutting your lawn more often.

Hear me out...
I'm not a fanboy at all, i buy what's best for my needs.
So i own a windows 7 dell inspiron duo (tablet-top) and own an X10 running android 2.1, soon to be android 2.3.
Just thought i had to mention that to safely ask what the value of Google is since my guess would put them either slightly below Microsoft or far above.

Either you're very prepared or this thing can't be killed with 1 program alone, but several instead.
Very scary.
We just had something at home that destroyed my moms bootmngr - oblitterating their pc and tried to infect my laptop through the network.
Suffice to say that winpatrol stopped it.
Luckily im paranoid and have combined winpatrol, avg, spybot and malwarebytes.

Security reaearcher discovers software flaw.
Security researcher warns author of said software.
Security researcher does all the work and offers a fix for free.
Software company threatens to sue for extortion and in doing so damages their company image, looks massively ungrateful and creates Barbara Streisand effect their company may not recover from.
If any software I used did this I wouldn't reward their behaviour by staying with them.
It's unfair and potentially dangerous for their users/customers.

The point isn't that people don't have to download it, the point is that apple would ban any similar app that could "cure" black people or the chinese.
A gay kid's coming out is the most stressful thing they will ever do and telling them they're evil and a sinner at the time just leads to depression or suicide, there's loads of cases of it.
