Never! I don't believe this figure at all.
Going to say that I've been personally responsible for more than 118m Rick Rolls.
To say that RR has only had 118m views just seems very, very wrong.
Give us some credit, most RR videos appear as people learn the URIs
You can't have added them all up, they appear all the time.
Up that number anyway because I've just found https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dQw4w9WgXcQ - look at the number of views.
I've had quite a few issues with my hi-res 2011 MBP. Battery died after upgrading to Lion cost me £99 to replace. - I firmly believe that Lion update was the cause. Then the graphics card started making stuff all blue. Apple replaced the mother^H^H^H^H logic board free of charge, but interestingly when I had to sign for the repair it was listed as a repair under EU law (not fit for purpose). I half expected to have to fight over payment but they didn't charge me. Now, even with the replacement I'm starting to get artifacts appearing on the screen again. :(
I wont be buying another mac, not only becasue of this but generally becasue I don't what a highly reflective screen and matte is no longer an option.
I wish they'd just stop trying to turn Dr Who into an extention of Eastenders. Why do we have to have a drama queen event in every episode. Clara adds nothing to Dr Who, nether did the other one, the ginger one.. time for some stong side-kick. Even Ace was better... God, did I just say that.. it must be bad.
.. in all the world will be worthless when your internet connection dies, the 'service' provider for that product decides to no longer support it, goes bust, gets bored with it. etc
The cloud is not the answer to these problems, the cloud is just a mechanism to tie you into a provider and keep you paying money.

I wonder if I changed the settings on your mother / grandmother's line just for "a bit of a laugh" you'd change your mind. I know mine wouldn't know until the paper bill plopped through the letterbox up to 3 months later.
... is down to the fact that it takes so long to sign up to get they required keys, vendor account auth etc - Developing for Android and IOS really only takes minutes (aside from the software install) to be up and running. It might be Friday, I might be impatient but I expect key generation to be done and available immediately when I submit my info and I expect the vendor validation to be pretty quick too.
I also don't expect to have to sign up 3 times with the same information just to start developing for the playbook - Perhaps getting this sorted out so it's a seamless process would encourage more developers - as it stands I'm already annoyed before I start porting - that can't be good.

I'l admit I didn't even read the paper, but from your summary it seems like this exploit is done using the Intent system which allows applications to ask other applications to handle a task for them. This is by design and the whole purpose of the Intent interface.
While I see that this, if no permission is required, is a security issue the flexibly you get from a system that can do this, for me, outweighs the risk. If anyone is that concerned it is fairly trivial to decompile applications to see what they are up to,
