I worked on a project for a major U.S. hospital that was successfully completed, on time, in 3 years.
Over 20,000 users and over 100,000 patients a year and rising. This hospital also has a top tier school and major research center and is spread out over dozens of facilities.
It can be done, just not by well connected morons.
This SAME system is also being successfully deployed at other major U.S. hospitals.

Why bother at all? Win 10 is absolute shit. I've now deployed hundreds at the corporate level, and creating the image alone just about drove our team 'round the bend.
Then there are the infinite updates. I'm not even exaggerating. We had the latest version and the updates never stopped day after day after day after day, long AFTER we had already deployed them.
People were literally losing serious hours to updates and it was having a crippling effect on productivity.
Fuck Win 10.

This is what happens when you putter around without actually sinking the holes. You end up with sub-par results and are handicapped.
Apparently they had neither the drive nor iron will to fix this. I'd would be tee-d off about it. This will probably put a wedge between them and the green in their bottom line.
