FCC boosts broadband competition by, er, banning broadband competition in buildings

ecofeco Silver badge

Don't think they didn't try.

I can't find the links (google is a crap shoot these days) but there WAS a lot of legal opposition to the first American cars.

Re: Let's join the sanctions club

Don't count on Millennials or Xers to save America. Those generations have had more voters than boomers, for years.

Re: Let's join the sanctions club

"Free market" has always meant free to fuck you up the arse without lube and without consequences.

Fascists are funny that way. Lot of buzzwords and propaganda to hide the fact of profiting from real and deadly oppression.

I've worked for some globe spanning companies and it is amazing how many are run by some not very bright people at all levels.

And yes AC, so many businesses these days are strip mined instead of grown.

Re: It Might Be Ending...

I would agree.

Knowing the price of everything and the value of nothing always ends badly.

Re: Species angst

And how long has it been since the last man stepped on the moon?

ecofeco Silver badge

50 years since men first landed on the moon

50 years. Well over half a lifetime.

And America has not been able to replicate it since 1972.

Truly epic fail.

NASA still has the best people. It's lack of funding that is killing them.

Do NOT blame NASA for the failings of Congress.

ecofeco Silver badge

Re: Trump's logic is skewed

It will cost more than a "bit". Far more.

Those industries than can will move, but most will not. Prices will rise and stay there.

A great example is consumer electronics. 85% of which are made in China.

Also China has a world market, not just America.

This is last ditch move by a country which can no longer innovate in the consumer market by trying to stop the new up and comer.
