LOL no
The law does not care if the person committing fraud did not perform due diligence.
But only a fool would believe she didn't know and the judge and jury are not going to like being lied to.

Voodoo, no wait, damn it did it again, "supply side" economics decrees that when supplies are short you raise prices to cover losses and when supplies are abundant you raises prices to cover demand.
You also raises prices when demand is high and raise prices when demand is low to cover your losses.
But no matter what is actually happening, you ALWAYS raise prices.
Not even joking.
Back to the office? Has the total sum of computing power at Google divined the pandemic is over?
This is the real news!
Oh wait, the pandemic is not over. Not anywhere near. Ah, well, there goes my remaining respect for Google.
We need some kind of new "law." Call it, Eco Feco's Law. "The larger a tech company gets, the dumber it becomes." Until ultimately, the recto-cranial-inversion looks almost like the head is back in its normal place. Albeit with a brown sheen.
Unrepairable products or ones that are overly expensive to repair exist ONLY to screw the customer. Punter, business or government customer.
Planned obsolescence wasn't enough. Nor was new style or design. Nor was short warranties and only being able to send the product back to the manufacturer and not the retail store to get it serviced and repaired.
When it comes to business, just about everything is a scam.
And yet morons keep buying this stuff.
(and could somebody PLEASE fix the tiny, tiny font size in the reply box? Thanks)
When you realize that not one single company is looking for skills, but compliant ass kissers who excel at group think and who will make perfect, unwitting scapegoats.
In the last 20 years, ANY job form or interview that used pop psychology assessment, got the big "up yer bum" from me. Same with personal life questions. My life outside of work is nunya goddamn bizness.
To answer your question, it's a public health issue.
Do you like diseased rats? Because that how you get diseased rats. And poisonous snakes. And fleas. And ticks. And roaches. And many other nasty, dangerous vermin of various sizes.
So no, contrary to popular crackpot beliefs, you DO NOT have the right to endanger public health.
In rural, far less populated areas? Do as you please. But cities? Nope.
