Spanish govt slammed over bizarre Catalan .cat internet registry cop raid

Re: Scottish one

I would not be surprised at all if we wake up to a major network “outage” affecting Barcelona the day of the referendum to prevent people from coordinating protests and images of Spanish police violence leaking out before all is done. Hope I’m wrong :/

Re: Information is a dangerous good

Sadly not.

People have already mirrored the referendum website referendum.cat outside the country at places like ref1oct.eu or referendum.ninja.

Now guess what? From within Spain they’re not readily accessible because Spanish ISPs (Vodafone and Movistar were first but the others follow with a few days delay) all hijack their DNS resolution by order from the authorities.

Modern democracy my ass.

Probably something a bit more isolated, how about dialing down the sensationalist headline a tad?

Ten... dual-band wireless routers

Oddly this review omits the fact that the tested Fritz!Box 7390 is not just a router but also has a built-in ADSL2+ and VDSL modem and can use a 3G USB modem as connection fallback . Besides analog phone and VoIP it also handles ISDN where still used.

One thing I would have liked to see verified here is stability in everyday use. In fact, as several others have already commented this is why i use an AirPort Extreme base for the home network, because it is the only wifi router I have ever used that does not need constant babysitting and restarting.

Actually it does make sense

You just need to know what that "worst case" in GAU means. The term designates the worst case accident scenario taken into consideration when designing the plant. This is the maximum the containment etc are supposed to withstand. Think three mile island.

If things go beyond this scenario and leave the containment that's what's defined as a super-GAU

So you haven't been able to find any reception issues on the review unit. From what I understand you also found no issues with the proximity sensor. Yet both of these bring the rating down to 75%, meaning I should get a Samsung Wave instead, because that's better according to your reviews. No, that's not what you meant? I think I don't quite get it...
