Maybe but an extra 5W doesn't sound like too much in a tablet which has much more battery capacity than a phone, and where the screen is even more the dominant power drain.
I'm not convinced by these convertibles, but it seems to me hating Intel is just what one subset of geeks like to do, just as others hate MS - it doesn't matter how much they improve or even transform areas of historical weakness, haters will still hate. MS write insecure software, Java is slow because it's interpreted, yada yada.
I've always wondered when MS say "this vulnerability could allow an attacker to take full control of your computer" , what does that actually mean? In my head I see them using a vulnerability to mysteriously launch an RDP session to your PC or something but that sounds unlikely... anyone know first hand what it actually 'looks like' from the hacker's side?
What compression is used on BR video... it's certainly possible to get a lot more video on a DVD than the DVD standard codec allows using modern codecs so perhaps the same is true here too? Or maybe BR is already using a near-optimal codec?

Because Stark isn't an expert when it comes to physics, engineering, chemistry and computer-science? Nothing like choosing the answer you want to come up with before you start... simply label Stark as 'genius' but list every manifestation of Wayne's genius as a separate thing to make the list look longer.

Not everyone wants the hassle, or wants to drain the batteries on 2 devices to use one... a tablet can store much bigger batteries.

I dunno, it's typically frustrated teenagers who provide the biggest power supply and Apple is not the OS of choice for nerdy friendless teens.
Plus, put Linux on a watch and the watch itseklf would be a source of arousal for said teens. And Reg readers... if the latter isn't a subset of the former.
For me the best thing is their support. They have managed to grow to a massive faceless corporation without giving you the feeling you're unimportant. When things are late or missing they overnight a replacement without interrogating you, etc.
The textbook example of this happening in short time scale is that of moths in England over the historical period known as the Industrial Revolution. Moths (nocturnal, so inactive during daylight) would rest against the bark of trees, appropriately camouflaged to the species of tree they preferred. Soot from the burning of coal ('dark satanic mills') darkened the appearance of trees in many areas, and this placed a strong 'selection pressure' on generations of moths- favouring those that exhibited a mutation that made them darker. Pale moths would be readily seen by birds and promptly eaten.
This happened in decades, if not years. Moths, like spiders, have many, many offspring.
Sorry but you simply don't understand evolution. The much-vaunted moths example isn't evolution. It is simply a case where there were already two versions of the same organism, and changed circumstances suddenly made one of them at a severe disadvantage. That took months because both types already existed. That is natural selection, not evolution. An emergent new behaviour - from a regular spider to one which makes a fake spider - is a totally different proposition. This takes a LOT of time.
I was nowhere suggesting evolution doesn't occur by the way. Merely that some examples really make it seem that the long time scales are actually not that long at all when it is randomly driven.
Sorry Dave I've no idea what point you tried to make. I merely commented that atheists feel happy using 'gross' stuff from nature as evidence against a God, while lambasting anyone who suggests the 'pretty' stuff from nature is evidence for a God.
The downvotes suggest a preponderance of indoctrinated atheists who have learned atheism in exactly the same way many learn their religion... taking someone else's word for it rather than making up their own mind. I'm sure they'll take this post also as being pro-sky-fairy (a term which itself demonstrates an emotive rather than intellectual position on the subject) and downvote in the same way.

So millions of years of evolution give the same result as the spider just standing in the web in the first place? That's certainly not an Intelligent Design :)
I wondered if the idea is it does not scare predators, but tricks them into eating the fake.
Why does it matter if Apple are the leading company in 3 years... iPad will still be a big player for sure. iPad just makes the decision simple... no committee needed to choose which Android tablets, etc, etc.
And since iPhone is STILL the leading phone in the public view, why WON'T iPad be in 3 years?
