You totally fail to get it. I see absolutely no contradiction. Zuck can genuinely believe that FB is doing good, just as Tony Blair and George W Bush believed they were acting for good.

Also, you're either trolling or an idiot because nowhere did anyone suggest "selling personal information about people is an altruistic act". That is FB's business model, not the service they provide to consumers.

You might as well say that if I invent a cancer drug and sell it, I can't be acting for good because I'm making money from sickness. You can make money from something that is of benefit, the world is not black & white no matter what borderline-autistic nerds say.

Getting cancelled after the first series is hardly indicative of anything though. Great and awful shows get axed with impunity.

You think someone buying a tablet is interested if there's a fan or not? You realise the MacBook Air has a fan, and that that's more what this is competing with? It's a fully specced PC with detachable keyboard, not a toy for playing Flappy Bird on.

Why do you need to shoot HD video, especially on a device that's going to be shaking around in your hand? All you'd end up with is really crap, poorly lit/coloured video, with awful sound quality, in HD.

I recently caved and put iTunes on my Windows7 PC because it was a pain having to turn on the Mac just to put content on my iPad. I've heard terrible things about the Windows version in particular (the Mac one seems fine) but so far so good,,, maybe it improved a lot in recent versions or I'm just lucky.

I'm not sure that's a real problem for the majority of people, although it's become a common argument against touch-PCs. Touch isn't mainstream in the consumer world but touch-screens are used by some people all day in specific jobs - mostly factory-based I'd guess.

As a student I had a job as a checkout-dolly in Tesco. You spend 8 hours sitting on a chair sticking your arms out in front of you to pick up items and move them over the scanner, and interacting with a touch-screen checkout. Arguably, having to pick things up is even worse than having to stick your arms out to tap a screen, but people don't have special harnesses or whatever and you see people in their 50s who do this day in day out.

So I don't think the automatic "it's bad for you" response can be taken as gospel, any more than a chair manufacturer telling you that standing up all day is bad for you!

Did you have a choice to buy it without Kinect before? If you don't want kinect, it is a price reduction to the consumer regardless what it saves the producer.

On feature phones the hardware and the software are not separate. Each model comes with specific software embedded.

You can see a big difference between £5 and £50 sunglasses though just as you can tell the difference between a S5 and a £100 Android phone even when they're turned off.

Lots of people like to measure their heartrate while in the gym or exercising - apps that plot your run/cycle route and give you a graph of speed, bpm at every point.

So probably a useful thing to have.

ANY software that's web-based can change design at any time whether you pay or not.

But then, so can desktop software - you can refuse to update to the newer version but that really is only a short-term protest until you give in or stop using the software, because you not only miss out on bug-fixes and new features but may likely find the server stops supporting your client version at some point.
