Re: Forex, speed of connection etc
Yes, lax financial laws leaves plenty of room for the "money makers" to make it worth the ISPs while too, I wonder what the average speed is in the Cayman Islands? Follow the money!

phones stolen during looting were easily tracked by Apple. Now if you talking about the $ .50 cables that they charge 30 bucks for, all companies budget for incidental loss through theft(employee or self-employed freelance thief) damage and subsequent replacement, showroom demos etc.
Did this strip search at the end of each shift catch anyone trying to boost any goods? And if so, did they save more money than they spent on security?
I actually saw it twice, once in the morning, on the way to a Gaelic village, yes Gaelic, I would hate to sound crazy twice in one thread, https://www.village-gaulois.org/en/p110-getting-to-the-gallic-village.html and then on the way back in the late afternoon, both times I got really Tabloid looking photos!
I made my first "Not-At-Work" Windows 10 support call a couple of weeks ago. One of my colleagues was at his SOs house, and her Win10 had lost networking. Naturally, I asked him to check the version, sure enough, it was 2004. Naturally, I asked when did networking stop? Right after the last WU! WoooHooo!. As he is not a Windows guy, I had to step him through finding the device manager, and tossing the network card, scanning for hardware changes...
Had it been anybody else (sorry Mom!), I would have said sorry, I don't do Windows...
Google is one step ahead of the rulz and regs, and spends a nice coin in DC to make sure they stay there. Heads of BigTech being called in front of congress? What a dog and pony show! A politician asking technical questions? Will they understand the answer? Will they know the truth even if it is told?
Are the American founding fathers spinning in their graves, or enjoying the view?
Now where is that middle finger icon?
I'm going down the road less traveled on this one. Maybe, just maybe this woman is a total Karen? We feel bad for her because she got screwed by BigCorp, that is expected. Her work may have been impeccable, but she may be a total nutter. Maybe she's looking forward to returning to make an even bigger show? I've met a few who thrive on the drama!
I would never find myself working for one of those BigCorps, but in her situation, I would resign quietly now and never look back.
Brilliant observation! Can't upvote you enough. Searing hot oil makes all the difference. I once worked in a kitchen that specialized in deep fried pizza dough.
I've seen the inside of couple of the US KFC kitchens, and they have plenty of fryers, (I don't think they could flash fry a buffalo) maybe franchises overseas have a lesser requirement?
