My bet is he will be offered other employment, if it hasn't already been offered.

I personally see no need for a smart TV, or a smart fridge, or a smart lightbulb etc, If you must manage a fleet of IoT devices, use the technology and know what the hell you are doing to secure them. I see a day coming where I will have to buy all of my appliances second hand just to avoid this IoT invasion we are facing.
We tried for the longest time to only support one platform, and had lots of push back, please install this one for a meeting with this company, they don't use our platform... We capitulated, started installing the other platform, and now we are stilling config issues with the sound on both platforms.
Can someone build something for video meets like Adium for chat?
There's your better mouse trap!
I had to buy a burner phone on vacation, my iPhone wouldn't recognize the US SIM card... It was AT&Ts branded android. I blew through the data plan in less than 12 hours out of the box. Turning services off stopped the slurp, but crippled it, going back in and finding the needed google play\store\service when you needed it was a PITA. For a few weeks of vacation, it was hell, and not worth the frustration. It also required a google account to set it up, that phone wreaked havoc with my google calendar, I still see some oddities from time to time.
You, Sir, are half right... Is an upvote worth 5 quid for partial credit?

Does knowing half of the answer send you down the rabbit hole? See you on the other side!
I hit update before bed last night, today Big Sur Golden Master is installed this morning*, this is a non story... People getting their thong up their ass over something new and free should get a life. I saw one thread in the screenshots in the article, of someone trying to install Big Sur on a 2005 model? Masochist?
* I've been running the beta since it came out, I only noticed one minor issue the whole time.
Responding outside of hours... Then you are like me, you don't mind having a peek at the stack of email that has come in since 5pm, but do not respond. I like to know what shit storm I may see at 8am...
I will respond to messages from my team after hours, but not user cries for assistance.
Didn't I just read somewhere that Putin is considering stepping aside due to health issues? But searching on the topic I see only the NY Post, The Sun, The Examiner and their ilk are carrying the story.
I look forward to civil interactions between Gov't leaders. We can hope for intelligent discourse in the future interactions.
Support center? Scripts? Never heard of them, we a shop of 4 admins supporting 1000+ no time for such frippery. We have a ticketing system, I think 7 users actually send tickets. The rest is by email, phone or as I like to call them "drive by shootings" as we are in transit to another user...
I doubt the guy even looked at the wall socket. I've been to plenty of calls where the power is the issue, only to find the questions I asked on the phone or tickets were answered affirmative, but in reality they never looked at the light on the power strip, or realized the darkness in the hallway...
