"Describing the current economic downturn as a 'clusterfxxk' is just base, playground level articulation and reveals the level of your intellect."
But very accurate indeed.
Personally I'd have been more alliterative and used the term: "Credit Clusterfxxk" but there again, that's just personal taste, or lack thereof.
Paris?
Well cluster whatever.
If it's genuwhine Windows then sure, Miscroshaft owns the software and licences it to you and there's b-all you can do about it.
On the other hand, If it is a copy then one may have indeed bought it from someone other than Microsoft.
The fake licence is not Microsoft's (Er...It's a fake)
The software isn't genuine, so Microsoft are actually trampling all over a product a d platform which is not actually heirs to trample over.
The words "hoist" and "petard" spring to mind.
My lad bleats about having an 8M Pixel camera in his phone, yet he only ever looks at the images (as do probably 99% of people using a camera phone) on the phone's own display which is what? 77k pixel, or a similar resolution on line image.
Come on; VGA resolution would be an overkill.
Even then, what about the tiny bit of glass bead laughingly called a lens on most camera phones. Compare that to the lens of even a half decent budget camera.
As far as I can see, I get better results out of my old FX2800. Even when set to 1M Pixel esolution.
Someone, somewhere, is being taken for a ride.
"Surely some kind of wearable rig would also be in order, featuring the traditional pulse-proof hat coupled with an on-head wind turbine providing reliable power for one's personal electronics. ®"
Propellor Head!
Propellor Head!
Propellor Head!
i always wanted to chuck that into a conversation.
Mine's the one with lots of downthrust.
Someone running for the presidentcy of even the worlds richest third world country will obviously have his security nailed down.
After all, simple things like locking the office door and encrypting any files on any computer would come with the job.
Wouldn't it?
Well, one out of two is a start.
But scarcely confidence-building.
Can we have a "Daft Pillock" icon, please?
"DARPA*, the renowned Pentagon crazyscience bureau whose nuttiness can only be properly expressed in terms of a conceptual Tardis-style hyperdimensional fruitcake, able to hold many times more nuts than can fit within its apparent measurements."
ROTFLMFNO
A SHEEP!
Actually, its been a while since the RSU (Reg System of Units) had an airing.
and, @ AC - Wasn't there a land speed record attempt fairly recently that busted the sound barrier? At STP? And the driver survived?
If that doesn't slap the pendulous jowls of established wisdom with the gauntlet of disregard, I dunno what does
I'm gonna get me an 090 number with a £1.50 a minute charge rate (or more if I can manage it) and wave that around in my contact details, in front of as many marketing parasites as I can.
Y'never know I may even be able to retire.
"could you just go over that again, I didn't quite follow...."
