About MBDA.

A multi-national group with 10,000 employees working together across France, Germany, Italy, Spain and the United Kingdom. Offices also set up in USA.

Jointly held by 3 prestigious shareholders: AIRBUS Group (37.5%), BAE Systems (37.5%) and Leonardo Finmeccanica (25%).

Perhaps you should learn about how the world works, Including the EU.

Perhaps something to learn from British history too.

"By the 1950s the UK was the second-largest manufacturer of cars in the world (after the United States) and the largest exporter.[3] However, in subsequent decades the industry experienced considerably lower growth than competitor nations such as France, Germany and Japan and by 2008 the UK was the 12th-largest producer of cars measured by volume.[3] Since the early 1990s many British car marques have been acquired by foreign companies including BMW (Mini and Rolls-Royce), SAIC (MG), TATA (Jaguar and Land Rover) and Volkswagen Group (Bentley).

Re: What the actual fuck

Not sure either, was it about the choice of colour. After all my years of studying birds I have come to understand that some birds start building a house and then they get very verbal and start vividly spinning their cock outside until a she, hopefully, comes along to go yes or no. And after all my years of studying elephants I have found that young and beautiful female elephants don't give a shit about all the Verstappens of the world but let a mature guy like me in. Is that due to their parents, kindergarten or the collage they attended, the brains, or just the balls or their absence. Time to study eunuchs I suppose. Oh no I won't, what the hell about the colour.

For more information

From the Wiki.

TomTom NV is a Dutch company that produces navigation and mapping products. TomTom also makes action cameras, GPS sport watches, fleet management systems, and location-based products. As of 2015 TomTom's business had Consumer, Automotive, Licensing and Telematics units. Founded in 1991 and headquartered in Amsterdam, the company currently has 4,000 employees worldwide and sells products in over 41 countries. TomTom was originally named Palmtop Software, founded by Peter-Frans Pauwels, Pieter Geelen, Harold Goddijn and Corinne Vigreux.[2] TomTom currently has 56 offices in 37 countries.[3]

In 2008, TomTom acquired Tele Atlas, a digital map maker, for €2.9 billion.

On 11 June 2012, at an event for Apple's iOS 6 preview, TomTom was announced as the main mapping data provider for Apple's revamped iOS 6 "Maps" app, replacing Google Maps.

Late 2015, TomTom extended its deal with Apple and signed a new contract with international transportation network company Uber. The Uber driver app now uses TomTom maps and traffic data in 300 cities worldwide.

Re: 2 Years is Impressive

Two years is only impressive if you compare it to more than two years. Those damned words of comparison. So what are those two years compared to and why. Was the speed of construction important. My first reaction was that two years is a lot for a ship that size.

I had to compare that with one of the worlds biggest cruisers, MS Oasis of the Seas.

Length: 362 m

Construction started: November 12, 2007

Launched: November 21, 2008

Weight: 100,000 tons

Draft: 9.3 m

Beam: 65 m

Place built: Turku, Finland

That is one year for 62 times more London buses.

Completing her toke one more year.

"MS Oasis of the Seas is an Oasis-class cruise ship owned by Royal Caribbean International. Her hull was laid down in November 2007 and she was completed and delivered to Royal Caribbean in October 2009.".

Could it be that when a shipping company order a ship they want it ASAP and turn to yards able to deliver. Ships like that cost +1b$.

Making us pay tax will DESTROY EUROPE, roars Apple's Tim Cook

@Vimes, The Irish government will have to take this to court and they will win, or lose. This will take time. Cook says what he has to say as he works for the shareholders. The "destroying Europe" he could have left out, as it's silly. Apple will operate in Europe in the future too and they have no problems paying taxes when they are forced to do it.

Re: Tax Harmonisation

"Wont be long before there is a maximum and minimum tax rate each state is allow to set".

I would hope so too, then again the EU countries could have done it all by themselves long ago. The EU does not have that power unless it's agreed upon. Incidentally the USA doesn't have full power over the states either in many similar questions.

PS. "a maximum and minimum tax" is like from the pen of a politician, 100-0%.

Re: Apple have strong bladders..

"The additional benefit is public opinion is in favour of this happening. People are fed of the megacorps taking their money.".

I agree on that, in addition this is not a USA versus EU war. There are strong forces on both sides of the pond who agree on these questions. Also it's not about a multinational company like Apple paying taxes either in the EU or the USA. They should pay in the EU for the profit they make in the EU and in the US for the profit they made in the world as a US company, in the US.

Re: What to do

@ tfewster

Yes, it's not about the difference between Windows and Linux it's all about making a decision and supporting it. And by doing a more in house, like training, a lot of money would be saved. Will that happen in Britain, I have my doubts. France, Spain, Portugal and Germany can, for various reasons I will not hurt anybody with. Perhaps Ubuntu could step in with some support and a ready tweaked version. The biggest gains could in fact come from training.

Lars Silver badge

Re: What to do

@ Commswonk, I would suggest you try Linux first before you express an opinion about it. In reality it's damned easy. Most people get it in no time, and so would you if you ever tried, and all by your own.

They could most likely fix that by running Wine, and now that Ubuntu is British the French having already done it might not be so disturbing. All that is needed is somebody at the top who can make a decision and can stand up to Microsoft.

Re: Thank you Mr.Farage

@Archtech. While it's not uncomplicated to work out the costs it's much harder to estimate benefits. If we assume it's £170 million/week then that is just about 1% of the UK GDP. So does the EU membership contribute more than that 1%. I think so.

However, from the very beginning the richer members have paid more than they receive while the poorer countries have got more than they have contributed with. "All for one and one for all" and things like that, in the best British historical tradition, a British virtue if you like. To hope that every country was on the receiving side would indicate a belief in Father Christmas even as an adult.

I also live in a country that contributes, and for reasons you will have to work out all by yourself, if you can, I like that state to continue.
