Not just Siri/Google Assistant/etc
It also predicted the ipad/tablet computer.

my new Ticwatch E arrived last week. It was £100 all in on the kickstarter but now can be got for a shade over £130

It's excellent as an augmentation to my phone which sitis in my pocket most of the day now.
The only slight annoyance is the dumbarsed swipe left/right for watchface change but I hope Google will change that soon.
This:
"TalkTalk also took a £59m exceptional charge for costs "associated with implementing changes to the Group's organisational structure under the new leadership team"
Included putting someone in charge of user data security who actually gives and damn and will fix it for their customers. But I doubt it.
about £3.50 an hour then..
She spoke up EARLY??? It was Two weeks after the breach, she then downplayed it, lied and obfuscated the situation. Utter stupidity and just the result of the old boys network the Tories are right now, jobs for who you know no matter your lack of ability..
and for a Chinese company with limited resources in the west an ideal way to deliver a product before locating western partners or full distribution.
I backed the first one and I'm getting this one too as they are excellent.
Well worth the $119 here http://kck.st/2uluDXp
But I love my Ticwatch 2 and have pre ordered on kickstarter their new Ticwatch E http://kck.st/2uluDXp as at about £120 its a sensible price for everything it gives me. The ease of doing simple things that yes, I can do them on my phone (get it out of my pocket, unlock it) is brilliant. It saves me seconds and is much less intrusive than doing these on with phone e.g.
Google/MS auth acceptance/codes
check txt/email message if it urgent
Timers
Calendar notifications
Fitness tracking
Navigation
There's probably a few more (controlling Iot devices like wemo switches/lights) but that lot I use regularly. I know my phone does them but that's like saying why use your phone calendar when your diary can do it. Not the point.
There is a use case for the smartwatch and wearable tech. They haven't all hit the right mark as too many are just fashion accessories and too expensive. Battery life is still the biggest problem.
When it goes to production in 2018??? What you lot smoking or have they changed the image?
It has feedback phase first late 2017 (insiders track)
Then Pilot (limited release) Nov/Dec 2017
And to production what looks like Feb 2018 (general availability)
Two updates is interesting but it's a push to say they are both out to everyone this year..
not been into a 'urban outfitters' recently? That shop is almost the mecca of hipster twattery and they already sell portable cassette players (walkmans in all but name, and quality)..
The Psion series 5 is the only valid choice. I'd murder Farage for an updated one... heck I'd probably do that for a good condition original.
and I'd love to give you my histamine system so you can find one that works reliably and doesn't make you feel fecking horrible.
I now take a cocktail of 3 different Antihistamines usually on bad days which manages to stop my eyes going bright red and making me partially blind, prevents the feeling of wanting to rip my own throat out as it ITCHES SO MUCH and has the bonus of reducing my nose to a minor drip not a gush.
I have tried loads of branded, unbranded and prescribed antihistamines - I now have to take a prescribed ones for about 8 months of the year to keep my hayfever at bay at least a little. This in the height of the season is supplemented by 2 more types to layer the defences. So I can function, mostly.
Yeah they exist but like our current political opposition they can be damn ineffectual at actually doing their job.
"Lynch has repeatedly disowned the film and even had his name replaced in the film's credits."
No he is still credited with it and has his name on it, just not all cuts. The studio did a butchered god awful cut of it which is credited to Alan Smithee. Lynch has issues with this version but still support his version the theatrical release
If villeneuve pulls off Blade Runner and they have a good script for Dune we'll see.
Seriously we should ignore Google's tax bill and GCHQ spying (for now) and launch a major inspection into Experian and all its ilk. Very dangerous information gathering, incredibly powerful to fsck your life up totally with no come back, no control and no oversight. Despicably corrupt and incompetent, leakier than a tuna net.
Experian especially are scum of the highest order. I'd rather deal with Trump than them, but I can only avoid Trump!
Any politician who has the teeth to take them on and sort out their dangerous muppetry and would actually do that would get my vote but considering they are more the real illuminati that isn't going to happen.
I was very impressed, it is not a fad (this time) and shouldn't be dismissed lightly. Yeah it's expensive and yeah it's still a gen 1 product which everyone knows is buyer beware (apple watch anyone?). If I could afford it I would have one right now and there are compelling experiences on iit (Adrift, Radial G to name a couple).
It's very easy to sneer, which this article proves in spades.
This is the mitigation strategy.. find scapegoat (india outsourcing).
Hold up scapegoat and say "look here's the breach, our security's not shit honest".
'Sack' India outsourcing firm very publicly - state issue solved (meanwhile outsourcing firm paid off to find scapegoat/distraction, outsourcing company restructures and renames, 'new' company 'starts' working for Talk Talk).
Pay rise all round (exec level) for dealing with this terrible incident, carry on shitting on any decent IT security staff they have.
If they want to continue they really should sort out their customer service.
Support staff have no order tracking info and just repeat the same script ad nauseum. Buy something direct seems to be a lottery when you'll receive it as delivery dates are a work of fiction.
Got a complaint? Their complains are ONLY handled by snail mail to a PO box which to me seems a relic from pre internet days and about as much use as turning my complaint into a paper plane and throwing it out the window.
Nice products but terrible service.
Well the shuttle engines themselves NEVER failed - the shitty DISPOSABLE solid rocket boosters did and so did the heat shield.
So thats a big tick for positive success. They needed major maintenance, more than expected but that is still not bad.. NASA has had more wins than failures remember and has returned 100x when it has cost in value.
Have been using them for their email service and can't wait to leave. Have had an issue with part of our service for nearly a year and still they cannot solve it, we've had to find a sensible workaround. Not to mention issues with not supporting IE 10 or 11 at one point, asking us to downgrade.. Closer to farcical support so wouldn't trust them with cloud.
They do talk a s good talk but haven't delivered for us.
I for one as a current EE user am very close to jumping ship now let alone when BT have fully taken over them. The company that screwed up ADSL roll out and put the UK back at least 5 years, whilst dumping the expensive ISDN systems on us. The company that runs to it's timescale and changes a 2 week lead time into 2 months with no notice.
They have a GOOD reputation? Really?
most 'droids you can root or install a stock rom to do this. Not many are restricted at all & more coming on the market that are basically unlocked immediately.
Obviously Google may cut this off in the future but you are buying into an ecosystem like windows phone or iOS. To protect Android from being a total mess you have to pay some price. Oh wait, you can have it free of google but you won't be able to use the store - e.g. cheapo chinese knockoff! Go for you life.
