The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time

KCM
Happy

Re: Best version?

Gotta agree. I'm still enjoying Link to the Past even today. Classic Zelda gameplay, the introduction of two worlds.

Even through multiple gameplays, I'm still missing one piece of heart to totally complete the game (but I have whooped Gannon's backside more than once.... )

Nikon snaps first Android-based camera crown

Meh

So more proccessing power taken away

... so you've got a camera with a fancy UI on it, and CPU/Battery Runtime of the camera processing images is now being drained by another OS ontop rather than the custom one on camera.

Not to mention time to boot the device as well.

Not a clever move....

Canon EOS 60D DSLR

KCM
FAIL

Another 60D non-buyer

For me the major killer points were body (and I'm sorry, I abuse my camera bodies - yes the do get dropped by accident and I'm not proud to admit it. ) the swivel screen (that's an insta-break item) and the lack of a PC port (so I could sync it with studio lights if I'm on a location that's silly enough not to have a radio trigger nearby).

Whilst the reinvestment if SD memory would had been a pain, it's not the end of the world, And I'm still a beliver a camera is a camera - not a video toy.

Canon gave me two options - Buy a 7D or a Second hand 50D. And I went for the 50D. (And if I'm honestly blunt, I'm not a fan of it. Give me back my old 40D please....)

All we need now....

And a hand-held portal creation device would be useful admittedly....

Amazon to sell Kindle through Currys, PC World

KCM
Thumb Up

Been selling them for some time...

They been selling them in the "Posh" Dixon's in Birmingham since early December (Yes, there is such a thing as a Posh Dixon's - called "Black", showing off high end tech).

I'm saving up for a Kindle - least of all it's a place I can stuff my tech manuals on and try and read them in comfort...

Top Ten Arcade Classics

KCM

... and it was *gameplay*

Seriously, the reason why these are darn good games is because they were playable and pickable.

You can have the wonderful (what now seems nbasic)l vector graphics of the Star Wars Cabinet, but the moment you sat in that chair, pumped the 10p's in, you were Luke Skywalker...

Because you could play it. And you *were* going to blow that Death Star up. Even if it costed you your pocket money....

Geeky Point....

You've got a picture of a 787-3... Not a 787-8 that's due to fly today (you can tell by the winglets)

I'll go and get my spotters coat... and watch the developing story on FlightBlogger www. flightglobal.com/blogs/flightblogger/ which has the full test breakdown over the next few months...

Brother P-Touch 2100 label printer

KCM
Thumb Up

@Steve Foster

Agreed - I have a Dymo LabelPoint 150 for Network, system and labelling the tea and coffee jugs - and it does what it says on the tin - prints labels from the nice and small to the stupidly large to indicate a switch is dead and don't use it.

It's defiantly a tool an engineer should have if they're trying to document things and work out where they should go.

My soultion to the wastage (apart from printing smaller labels) is to use a pair of scissors to do trimming with - part of the issue is the amount of feed is required.

But unless you're printing every 5 minutes, tapes last for a fair old time in my experience

Would you leave your child alone with a cabinet minister?

KCM
Joke

Maybe

... the ministers need to get an ID card before having one of these checks. Because no minister does anything wrong at all....

... but how will they read the card to know it's accurate? Oh yes...twang it for that unique sound....
