In case you don't already know, Windows now has a clipboard 'history'. It's not quite the same, but makes cut and paste activities easier. Press Win+V and a list of your previously copied content pops up. You can then click to pick which one you want to place.

You shouldn't have to go through that charade again. Ofcom regs coming in from July (I think) mean that all networks will have to give you a PAC by text or online without having to go through the retentions rigmarole.

The article on Tom's Hardware suggests that 7nm is fine and that it's mainly AMD's APUs for PS4/XBOX One that will be impacted on their side.

Fingers crossed that's the case because the competition would be really welcome on the consumer tech side too.

Any word on the type of internal storage?

Given the brouhaha around the P10 internal storage lottery, is there any explicit mention of what type of flash memory is used in the Honor 8 Pro?

There were a lot of complaints about the use of slower eMMC flash storage, rather than the fast UFS 2.0 in the P10 due to availability issues. If the H8Pro uses UFS2 that could make it an even more attractive prospect.

If I didn't have midget hands it would likely be on my upgrade wish list. Still might be actually.

Surprised by the responses from the Italians. Makes me wonder if there are areas of the population that aren't well represented in the survey.

Thumb Up

I would actually buy this

The concept of this appeals to me, price permitting. I see it as a way to emulate the Wii U's screen independence, but with Steam's game library.

For context, I have an HTPC hooked up to my TV, that I also use as a Steam-based 'console'. A device like this would allow me to play the games I have in the comfort of the living room while the missus watches 'OMG THEY LET THE STUPID MAN PLAN THE WEDDING' and 'CHILD HAS A HORRIBLE DISFIGUREMENT BUT GETS TREATMENT TO LOOK LESS UGLY SO IT'S OK TO WATCH THIS'

The device specific games are of less interest, but I'd expect more indie games to come to android now the platform is expanding.

You may have a point but the Oxford English Dictionary records usage rather than prescribing it. A word can be included just because that's the way people spell, as opposed to being the way it is supposed to be spellled. Hence the, sometimes extensive, lists of alternative spellings as sources throughout the ages spell things whichever way they damn well like. As a result, it's possible to find a whole host of 'incorrect' spellings in the OED. The wikipedia article has a fair bit about this.

On this (rather dull) note, I can't help but wonder if this is how one of my most hated words - resorb - came about. Perhaps as the result of some lazy boffin bastard not being arsed to include all the letters required to spell reabsorb, which seems to have exactly the same meaning.

Mine's the one with the new leather patches on the elbows
