Salesforce likes to play the diversity nice guy in public – Black ex-employee claims the reality is quite different

Re: re: The working class in the UK is very much an oppressed majority.

All of those things apply equally to black people, with the added disadvantage of living in a majority white country with racist institutions.

The rich created this system, not black people. The rich benefit from this system, not black people. The rich want the working class to fight amongst themselves, not black people.

You're peddling nasty, divisive, tory bollocks.

re: The working class in the UK is very much an oppressed majority.

FTFY.

The only people who gain by turning white working class people against black working class people are racists and the bourgeoisie.

Which one are you?

sabroni Silver badge

re: Given that white working class boys.....

Black working class boys are just as disadvantaged as white working class boys.

Classic attempt by the bourgeoisie to turn the working class against itself.

Eat the rich!

WTF?

We are the Google Warriors!

Wherever there is attempts to rein in Google's power, wherever a creepy line is nearly crossed, whenever a fleet of cars illegally collect wifi data, we will be there to defend this poor, misunderstood company!

It tries so hard to do the right thing and make information free! It's massive profits are just an unfortunate side effect of it's philanthropy.

Don't be mean to Google. Their stuff is free. You should hate the people who try to charge for stuff!

Re: cuts out a lot of scope for dispute

You're talking like there was some legitimate reason to believe the results weren't correct. 60 court cases, all lost, show there's no evidence of fraud or ballot fixing.

Trump wouldn't have conceded if the ballot had been all paper, it's his inability to admit defeat that's the root of your problem. (That and electing a bunch of spineless twats who refuse to go against the orange wanker.)

It's amazing how your "patriots" have turned on their fellow citizens so quickly. They'd rather believe one man than take the words of thousands of fellow americans who managed the election. Very patriotic.

Someone actually read my post and responded to it!!

Thanks Captain, I'll see if they tried that!

sabroni Silver badge

Re: my own experience is that Chromebooks are indeed quite capable of looking after themselves

"first thing I generally do is install crouton and put a 'proper' Linux setup on there"

I know it was the first post on an article about hardware, but I wasn't asking "Can I wipe it and put a proper linux on there".

I was asking if Chromebooks running Chrome OS degrade over time.

sabroni Silver badge

Chromebook is particularly good at fulfilling its promise of looking after itself.

Really? I've never used a Chromebook but both my adult children had one and both have gone back to Windows. Both Chromebooks degraded so seriously over the course of 12-18 months that they became effectively unusable.

That's my anecdote, anyone got experience of long lived Chromebooks that haven't snarled themselves up?

What's a COVID-19 outbreak? Amazon gets all Trumpy over Alabama warehouse workers' mail-in vote to form a union

sabroni Silver badge

Re: so each ends up being just as corrupt as the other.

Yeah, that's true. That's why half the richest people in the world are union reps.

Or is it just another tired, oft repeated bit of anti union propaganda from the people with the money?

Don't get me wrong, it's possible to find a company with good management who genuinely care about all their employees. Amazon isn't one of those. Amazon treats it's warehouse workers like machines and everyone who shops with them endorses it.

They shouldn't need a fucking union, it's obvious they mistreat their workers. Why are you still supporting Amazon?
