But since they took the insane, violent tack of actually CONDONING the murder of an innocent victim, someone they never knew, that did nothing to anyone in their group personally other than disagreeing with their ideology, and that they never even met
This is what makes Nazis Nazis. They decide that an entire group of people are less than human and then go looking for members of that group to harm.
If an AI decided that humanity needed to be saved from itself, might it decide that murdering a hundred million climate change deniers to halt their drag on progress was an acceptable price to pay for ensuring that seven billion people had a better opportunity for life, health and happiness?
(I expect I'm going to get downvoted by some for my choice of subject matter than for anything else.)
who might actually have a point concerning white people on projection to lose all major homelands within mere decades.
Homelands? Remind me, if you want to talk of race, who is the intruder in North America? Were you in favour of white people wiping out Native Americans, enslaving black Africans and then segregating and disenfranchising black people after being forced to free them? Yet all you have to face is being outvoted, if people do actually vote en bloc by ethnicity in favour of something which you don't also favour.
This is what happens when you forget that people are people. This is what happens when you are taught to hate: you teach yourself to live in fear.
is there a difference between the fascist and the anti-fascist, other than the anti-fascist's greater indulgence in hypocrisy?
You appear to have forgotten what fascists actually stand for. I suggest you take a history lesson to refresh your memory (and not one of those mangled lessons where the Holocaust was airbrushed out of documented history).
Workers on scaffolding around the tower face a significant risk to their hearing if the bells, including the quarter-hour and half-hour chimes, are allowed to continue.
It'll be immigrant workers who are being pandered to like this, forcing the patriotic Great British bell to be silenced just for their lazy comfort. They'll be laughing all the way to the bank -- with our tax money!

Yet another reason I don't think a manned mars mission is going to happen.
I think it'll happen, but not for several decades yet, and not at anything like the scale those suicidal would-be colonist idiots imagine.
Since any interplanetary vessel is going to have to have a storm shelter for its crew (which most spaceship designers envisage being inside the ship's water tank), it makes sense for that to also be the location for the core computing systems (the water will be a handy coolant too).
And who among us hasn't ever dived into the server room to escape unwelcome visitors?
I expect they're due to be fitted with something a tad more powerful than cream pies.
the Tories would surely not take a risk on having a leader with such a thin majority,
I'm sure the Rees-Mogg wing of the party would be happy to revive the old tradition of having a party leader promoted to the Lords if their rotten borough should fail to do the right thing.
If you appoint corporate whores to important offices, then the government appears to be nothing but a corporate whore to be despised.
But... but... Trump is draining the swamp. I'm sure he is. He said it on television in front of tens of millions of people, so it must be true.
Exactly.
And now, in the era of Trump, they hold a majority, and they are looking to unravel the rules to the detriment of Americans and to benefit of the cable giants.
And in then in February Trump will declare this to be a triumph for his grand infrastructure renewal plan, Making America Great Again. He'll also announce two further objectives which will shortly be realised:
1) The creation of more smoke above every American city.
2) The installation of more mirrors in Trump hotel corridors.
CEO response: "Trebles all round!"
Every time some corporate scumbag fiddles his way around a regulation designed tor reduce pollution, to benefit his bottom line, I think "This arsehole is trying to kill me." He's not necessarily a sociopath. He thinks he's doing the right thing for his company (not to mention his career), but he doesn't realise -- or perhaps doesn't care, or dismisses it as something he can't do anything about -- that the cumulative effect of his actions, and the actions of everyone like him, is making the world a worse place to live in. He thinks he'll escape the worst of it, because he'll have the money to isolate himself and his family from most of the consequences. He's just perpetuating the vicious circle instead of trying to break it, and wilfully undermining those who are trying to do so.
We'd all like shinier, more affordable, toys to play with, but we're adults and can recognise that paying an extra (£|$|€)10 for something is worth it if it reduces the impact of manufacture on the environment we all depend upon to live. When I was a kid I loved Frosties, and would have happily have eaten them for every meal, but it didn't take me long to realise that my mum was right to not let me do so. The people who are selfishly acting against the intent of legislation designed to make the world a more survivable place need to face jail time to ram the message home.
I'd hate to have to piece all of that together to figure out what's going on.
Isn't it enough to know that they're scamming people? Untangling their business structure is a nice intellectual exercise,. but -- other than perhaps for training purposes -- it has no practical use unless you are planning to file suit against them and want to know in which country you'll have to do it.
She said:“It is concerning that some parents have struggled to apply for childcare funding due to technical issues with the government’s Childcare Service website.“To make matters worse, it appears that the Childcare Service helpline, for parents suffering problems with the website, is also experiencing technical difficulties."
I expect that's the plan.
There are also ways of projecting an image of the sun onto a sheet of white card.
Seconded. This worked a treat for the transit of Venus back in, um, was it about ten years ago now?
Oh well. I may not be able to remember the date, but I remember the image. (A bit like some actual dates I've been on.)
