Why not bury a RFID tag in them? I know this would put the price up by a penny or two but wouldn't that be a difficult one to duplicate/fake, make the fakes easier to spot using a reader and it might come in handy when you want to know how much you've got sutffed down the back of your piggy bank/sofa.
I think he means that apple can't charge 30% for accessing a website so they have produced browsers which are poor to the point that people will pay to avoid using it. Not having used the browser on an iphone I can't vouch one way or another for its quality.
At least when the next hacking scandle comes round we'll know who to go to when we want to know who knew what and when. (Ads based on recent searches - wireless microphones and buckingham palace open times).
Don't know why but they story brought a particular song to mind, 'Everything is awesome! Everything is cool when you're part of a team'
""VIP cabin" - temptingly below the waterline for visiting dignitaries"
Oh this way Senator Sceptical to the VIP cabin. *Later that night on deck* Was the sound the window in the VIP cabin giving way? Pity he didn't vote to give us the funding for all those safety measures we asked for....
" Alternatively, are they based on the idea that no matter what human beings do God, or the Earth, or the Sun, or some other agent, will have the ultimate say in determining the outcome?"
At some point a redding sun is going to turn Earth into a barren rock. Does that count?
Nice to see you're out there fighting the scare mongering but nuclear power isn't save by 'accident'. A lot of money and oversight needs to go into the design and running of nuclear power plants. Thanks to dithereing by out political overlards (typo intended) we're going to need at least another generation, probably two) of them before renewables/fusion can take up the slack (some wishful thinking in that time scale I know but I can dream).
BTW, how much radiation is released by coal burning plants in the ash they release into the atmosphere? Purely for the sake of placing these figures in context.
Forgot to say that for all the stick they've been getting, the workers at the plant, particular since the accident deserve some recognition for helping to contain the situation.
I have only the trackpad on my 9320 to base a judgement on. The first was good till it went haywire and the refurbished replacement is acceptable. It is a lot handier than having a touchscreen would be in a lot of situations, particularly when using it as a bluetooth mouse with the bridge connection to a playbook.
