Based on this audit it still seems that the biggest security risk is the Android* phone you install the app on, and I'll worry about the Chinese slightly after I worry about Google thankyouverymuch.

* Yes I know its on iOS too. But the fruity one doesn't have a business model that absolutely requires hoovering up of your data.

I for one would like to see ICANN themselves being used as an example by the EU.

If I am reading rightly they had about $300m turnover last year so they'd be in line for the 10m/20m fine level rather than the 2%/4% level.

That’s pretty much my point - they should stop blinking doing it. This is basically a cutting edge cottage industry. If we ever want to do space right we need to take a leaf out of Henry T Fords book and modularise and standardise. Yes the initial expense is much higher but look what happens when you do -you end up with something like SpaceX which has reduced the cost to orbit of a payload by a stupid amount.

It’s short sighted and stupid. (And regrettably human nature)

If 100k was really at stake she could have got a decent employment lawyer.

Never go up against a big corporation unless you have a v good case - they can afford to burn 10 times the money on defending a case out of principle regardless of the rights or wrongs. Their legal budget will be bigger than any but the biggest law firm, your case wont even be a blip on their budget line.

Every parcel in a van means one less journey out the door, the majority of which will be in a car poorly warmed up and spewing pollution. At least the vans will be running warm.

I bet there is a net drop in pollution even if the vans are a little less good at emissions.

Maybe as a god of hifi you can explain how the addition of 2 or more speakers does anything to eliminate the problem of which you speak?

No passive technology is going to anything but change the size and shape of the audio sweet spot.

In theory beam forming coupled with some kind of warm body detection at least could in theory.

At the very least active adaptation can help with audio distribution and pickup.

That's harsh imo. It's still in use because it's easier to give everyone it rather than split the user base into ordinary and power users (generally sales or customer facing).
