1. As the government could have blocked the web site yet chose not to, are they in fact accomplices to the crime?

Could this have been an al-Quds Force operation? Should send quite a message to Mossad if true. It would mean Iran has penetrated the Israeli govrnment. But why would Iran assasinate one of its own agents?

Several comments, none related to the reality/unreality of the Bloom box.
1. Ethanol sources: Lewis, surely you are aware that non-crop biomass production of ethanol is coming soon.
2. Electric grid losses are ~40%. If the Bloom box works at all, it need not be very efficient to do better than the grid. Being colocated with the consumer, it automatically has a 40% efficiency advantage, depending on the losses in the gas grid. What ARE the losses in the gas grid?
3. Again if the Bloom box works as advertized, gas need not be its only fuel. Certainly the vast herds of cattle on the Salisbury plain can be harnessed to supply much of it. Erm... Please ignore that last. Bloom claims the box can take in electrons and produce fuel (I'd like to see THAT!), perhaps completely changing the equation.
Otherwise, a good article, with a reasonable dose of scepticism. More power to you, Lewis!
Whilst I'm tempted to respond to your one-sided condemnation with a similarly depressing list of atrocities committed by the Arabs, it seems pointless to me. Very much like small children with their "he hit me", "he hit me first" sorts of arguments. In any case, you've revealed your prejudice (or "predudice" as you seem to prefer).
I don't know this affair proves anything, but I do believe jumping to conclusions based on minimal evidence rarely produces good results. It is possible this was staged the way it was specifically to throw blame on Israel. It is such an easy thing to do.
Whoever did the deed should be thanked. The man was a religious bigot and a criminal.

It seems the baddie had many enemies: the Egyptian Gov., the Palestinian Authority, and yes the Israeli Government. So of course everyone points to Mossad. Seems a premature, even prejudiced to me.
The hit squad never called each other- all calls were routed through Vienna, much like the Mumbai attackers did. Is there a relationship here?

"Legitimate" == legal.
When discussing governments, the word is meaningless, as governments define themselves as "legitimate". Hitler and Stalin were both legitimate, as Hamas in Gaza is legitimate. If the people have chosen these governments, the people are responsible for the consequences. Certainly that is the position of Hamas vis-a-vis the people of Israel.
Having lit the blue touch-paper, I shall now retire a safe distance.
During the Iran-Iraq war, young Iranian lads were issued a plastic key called "the key to heaven", and told to run across minefields. If they found a mine, the key would gain them entrance to paradise.
It seems that other than for cost and name change, this is but the Iranian mine detector at work once again.
