320x480 screen, just so you know. Seems reasonable for the price.

I've used WinMobile 6.5 and Manila 2.1 and Sense 2.5 (the HTC interfaces) on my Touch Diamond 2 for two months, and not used the stylus for anything except working with some custom applications (developed for non-touch versions of WinMobile).
Hell, you can CLEARLY see on the first page that there aren't 6 favourites in the contact screen, but 9 at least. You can see the three just above the Manila Tab strip; It scrolls when you slide your thumb / finger up the screen, and in fact holds 15 favourite contacts.
The Programs tab differs from the Start menu in that, again, it offers many Favourite applications at locations you choose instead of all applications in one long menu.
The WinMobile alarm interface you have a screen shot of I've not seen since ordering the phone; Manila comes with a custom app which controls the time, alarm sound, day of the week to set the alarm for, a description, all from a thumb-friendly interface.
The only let down I can think of is the screen; 320x240 is rubbish. Still, there are QVGA resolution cooked ROMs at [shamelessplug] forums.xda-developers.com [/shamelessplug] or there will be *very* soon...
I take it America's entrappment laws don't cover National Security investigations.
Like "Where does the President spend a lot of his time? I'll give you $5000 for this information."
"Uhhh, the White House?"
"FREEZE! FBIYOUAREUNDERARRESTFORTERRORISMDONOTPASSGOPROCEEDDIRECTLYTOFEDERALPITAPRISON."
They were conquered by those who were more technologically or tactically advanced; Brain over brawn. Let's see our Aboriginal friends throw a spear further or accurately than a modern rifle can fire, or a Roman legion defeat a single Army grunt armed with an M60 and 500 yards of open field.
I'd love to see the tacticians of the middle ages against our current lot. "Send word by carrier pigeon... Oh, they've already anticipated our manoeuvres! Send another word... They've done it again! It's almost as though they can send messages instantly over great distances..."
Survival of the fittest does not mean the most agile, strongest, or fastest. It's the one with the edge over the other.
Your analogy is FUD. Shut up.
Microsoft Windows is at fault because xp issues "admin by default" user accounts, up until Windows Vista.
The rest is user error. Idiot computer users who download and install patches regularly, who download and run "superscreensaverboobies.exe" from an anonymous email, or who suffer drive-by attacks from poorly configured browsers (My pr0n won't load! I need unsigned ActiveX and Javascript to run it! AMAGAD OPEN OPEN OPEN!). Note that it could be IE, Firefox, Opera; They'll all do it if told to by the USER.
Your analogy is not accurate. What it should be is:
Motor car X is the most popular model on the market. Everyone can get it, it's easy to refuel, service, and comfortable to drive. It almost drives itself. The trouble is people take this for granted, and let it run away sometimes, causing accidents. It also has an idiots guide to tuning the engine, meaning folks who know about it can get the best performance, but idiots who use it end up wrecking the engine and costing themselves lots of money. Because there are more on the road of this model, there are more accidents. It's a direct correlation. These cars are also have an automated tool to bypass the immobiliser, but this is broken every month or so (Every second tuesday, actually) which means the bad guys need to update too.
Motor car Y is a kit car. It comes in a default configuration which runs 99% of the time, but it starts with a rattle that the owner doesn't like. He also notices that the headlights, indicators, and rear wiper don't work immediately. There is no idiot guide to maintenance; He has to ask other owners. These owners reply with "OMGLULZ U R N00BX0rZ GO BACK TO CAR X, TARD!" and shun him. He is left to read documents written by people who more than likely have qualifications in automotive maintenance. He has difficulty understanding it, and gives up. Car X was so much easier to drive.
Get it?
Motorised wheelchairs "move" but I wouldn't necessarily consider shooting one of those with a high-powered energy weapon particularly useful.
Come back when it can remove ( or at least warp beyond the possibility of firing) the barrel from a M1 Abrams at 20km in less than 3 seconds. Then I'll be impressed.
Oh no! I read a comment written by a person who posted on the same website as someone who went to school with someone who now works for the PLO!
OH CRAP! I FORGOT TO POST ANONYMOUSLY! *Cowers in terror*
Oh no! I said terror!
Agh! I did it again!
Waaa! I selected the grenade icon!
Woo wooo! Here comes the troll train!
MS succeeded because it marketed itself well and it had vendor support. Mac is making headway, but their hardware is priced outside of mainstream purchasing. Linux is still eating the scraps because it's too damn hard to get working properly in the first place. If Linux could get itself as easy to configure as Windows (I.E. It does it for you!) it'd be mainstream overnight.
By appealing to the nerds / enterprise, Linux fails to deliver to the consumer.
Until that point, however, shouldn't xp mode handle the translation between the two? Output from x program on xp is passed as input y on Win7, offering an output identical in function as if the program were coded for Win7 natively?
Pie in the sky, I know, but you know... It might work by SP1.
Translation software can easily translate most words into their foreign equivalent, but they are still appalling at grammar.
My German teacher actively encouraged the use of translation software for homework assignments, as not only did it make "cheating" by using these facilities pointless and impossible (easy to spot several identical works), but it got us to re-read the entire piece and correct the grammar. It saved us time looking up every single word we didn't know in the dictionary, and it improved our reading skills.
So stick to your guns and walk out before April 2011. If one won't give, neither should the other.
Too many folk roll (bend) over and take whatever scraps are thrown to them, and big companies take advantage of it. It's about time the "sheeple" (popular phrase which I detest) put their necks on the line and risked something in order to get the idea that big companies can hose everyone around them to keep their CEO's bonuses.
I'm bordering on turning this into a political rant, so I'll stop here.
